Job Description

Technical ManagerDepartment:Application DevelopmentTechnical Manager:As a technical manager, one must be balancing both technical processes and teams along with using his technical skills to provide the necessary environment for project success. The job of a technical manager is highly complex and requires efficiency in both technical as well as management fields.Roles and ResponsibilitiesTechnology ManagementProvide technical and architectural leadership for Microsoft .NET web applicationsProvide direction for the development, design, and integration of product from initiation to deliveryUnderstand requirements and articulate them into architecture, design and development specifications.Communicate implications of architectural decisions, enhancements, issues, and plans to the Leadership teamCreate deliverables that are consistent with SDLC principles, standards, methodologies, and best practices.Understand the existing applications to identify improvement areasLead/support / guide the development teams during the analysis, development and testing processesReview work of development team. Communicate and enforce coding standardsReview the status reports of team members and addresses issues as appropriate.Convene team meetings and provide continuous feedback and areas of improvementRecognize system/ technical deficiencies and implements effective solutionsWork with business clients and product owners to review business drivers, needs, and strategies to anticipate future business/technology needs.Improve processes to ensure alignment between the business strategies and application technology roadmap.Work closely with Performance Engineering and Infrastructure teams on defining the deployment architecture.Instill a culture of execution, operational excellence, and accountability.Seek and capitalize on opportunities to improve productivity, time- to- delivery.Anticipate barriers to change and creating opportunities to remove them.Create a culture that is based on knowledge sharing and learning from best practices.Exhibit a high level of professional flexibility and volunteering innovation and new ideas.Build PoCs and business case preparation etc for the prospects/customersPeople Management:Responsible for Team recruitmentManages and develops talent for teamsProvides technical guidance and coaching to team members.Develop KRA s that entices and excites team and create a healthy competition.Shall be motivating and energizing others, as well as gaining their respect.Shall manage people with different culturesDevelop a work culture that promotes the development and retention of high quality teams,
