Job Description

Epiq, Australias premium supplier of E-Hearings, E-Discovery and transcription services, has offices across Australia providing services for government agencies, law firms and private clients. The Technical Operations Analyst is responsible for daily client data processing and ad-hoc requests. They will need to work to tight time frames ensuring project deadlines are met. They will need to work in collaboration with their colleagues in the Operations and Consulting teams.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Learn and use proprietary and 3rd party E-hearings and E-Discovery applications
  • (EDT, Nuix, others).
  • Acknowledge, execute, complete, and track billable elements of a client or internal request.
  • Amazon Web Services knowledge is an added advantage.
  • Common tasks associated with the role include;
  • Understand and perform electronic discovery and data processing, imaging, OCR, and exports.
  • Receive, organize, and track media for processing.
  • Generate processing and exception reports using software and utilities.
  • Perform quality control and peer quality control on completed work product to ensure
  • Work closely with team members to troubleshoot data issues, research software and/or techniques to solve problems.
  • Use technical expertise and understanding of electronic discovery and data management tools
  • Communicate and collaborate with clients and internal Consultants.
  • Provide feedback to management about potential software improvements.
  • Assist with user acceptance testing for new software releases.
  • Cater to client requests in a timely and organised manner.
  • Solve problems and find solutions to data and software Issues accuracy.
Key competencies
  • Must possess a strong desire to learn new skills.
  • Must display excellent oral and written communication.
  • Needs to consistently demonstrate strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Must have a good knowledge of databases.
  • An understanding of basic command lines and light scripting skills is helpful.
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate superior organisational skills and attention to detail while working effectively under pressure and meeting strict deadlines.
  • Must possess great Excel skills with vlookup and visual basic knowledge a bonus
  • Strong preference will be given to candidates with SQL server and database administration skills
  • Must work well in a team environment.
Preferred Education
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum ExperienceCandidates with the following background will be strongly preferred in the selection
  • Experience working in an IT/technical role that is production-based, deadline driven and outcome oriented
  • Hands-on experience with databases.
  • Great troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
