Primary Function:Assists the senior Technical staffs. Operates Extruder ,Mixer and injection molding, robot and ancillary equipment with a variety of work specification to produce compounded material , test bars or other prototypes / parts from resin samples as requested by Laboratory Supervisor or Technical Service Representative. Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with SHE regulations and in accordance with Quality. Helps maintain laboratory processing equipment in good working order and manages raw materials.Brief Assisting in the preparation of compounded sample quantity requested from the team member.The job holder will be responsible for scheduling molding and testing with the reference of the Technical Data sheet / Test certificate of the material in the most cost-effective and efficient manner according to business priority, equipment s and resourcesThe job holder is responsible for scheduling the servicing, maintenance and calibration of Extruder ,molding machine and related equipment to ensure its reliability and safe operational state.The job holder safely operates molding and ancillary equipment to provide test bars/pieces for testing and is responsible for the safe and tidy upkeep of the molding area.The job holder manages the storage and inventories of molding accessories, molds and other tools, as well as raw materials.In addition to producing standard shapes for testing, the job holder will assist Technical Service Representatives by conducting molding studies to help solve customer problems or produce prototypes.Knowledge of various testing methods like ASTM, ISO, DIN and exposure to testing of Plastic and Rubber compounds using these standards.Exposure to Testing equipment s like Instron, TGA /DSC, FTIR, other such techniques will be an added advantage.The job holder will support the TS & D group by evaluating the processing characteristics and determining the operating window of new compounds that are produced at DKC / Multibase plant site .The job holder will be responsible for hands-on training of the relevant testing equipment available at the DKC Technical Center.,Education Qualification & Years of Experience:Graduate degree in polymer engineering or Diploma in Plastic Technology / Processing > 5 to 7 years working experience in Engineering Plastics, Thermoplastic Elastomers, and Polymer compounding field.Value Proposition of the Role : Opportunity to help in maintaining new performance polymers lab in India and help accelerate the Multibase / DuPont products business growth in India.Key interfaces:Engineering, equipment suppliers, FSRE, DPP Technical Service Representatives, Sales & Marketing personnel and equivalent positions in other global T&AP labs.Trainings / certifications preferred:Plastics processing and testing trainingSpecial requirements:Hands on experience in the processing of Engineering polymers, Thermoplastic Elastomers using extruder, injection molding. Preferably has worked in the plastics industry in compounding and masterbatch manufacturing in the R & D or technical role. Strong knowledge and hands on experience of handling of extruder, mixer and injection molding equipment. Percentage Travel: Limited travel. Not more than 15%
