    Technical Support EngineerPosting Location : Location CN-RemotePosting date 1 day ago(6/21/2022 5:55 AM)Job ID 95394 Workday ID R-024290 Category Technical Support About the job The Red Hat Customer Experience and Engagement (CEE) team is looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join us in China. In this role, you will troubleshoot and resolve customer technical issues through a web portal and over the phone to provide production technical support for hybrid cloud solutions, mainly Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. You will also partner closely with the Engineering team and Red Hats key strategic cloud partners to jointly solve multi-vendor customer issues. What you will do
    • Provide technical support to Red Hats enterprise customers in Greater China markets (China Mainland, Hong Kong, and Taiwan) for hybrid cloud solutions, mainly Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, via web portal, phone, and chat
    • Diagnose problems, troubleshoot customer issues, and develop solutions to technical issues
    • Maintain a commitment to providing a premium experience for Red Hats customers
    • Consult and develop relationships with in-house engineers and developers to promote creative solutions and improve customer satisfaction
    What you will bring
    • Contribute to the global Red Hat knowledge database while working on customer issues
    • Bachelor s or higher degree in a technical field, preferably in engineering or computer science
    • Fluent language skills in Cantonese; excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
    • 3+ years of experience working as a support or developer for a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) provider
    • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, containers, and Open vSwitch
    • Experience with developer workflows, continuous integration (CI) tools like Jenkins, and the continuous deployment (CD) paradigm
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills; passion for problem-solving and open source technology
    • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to customers with various levels of technical experience
    The following are considered a plus:
    • Experience with Linux operating system installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance
    • Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) internals like DNS or RSyslog and networking concepts like TCP/IP
    • Upstream involvement in open source projects and patches submitted for upstream inclusion
