The role is part of the Analytics COE organization, which has been consolidated and responsible for all analytics solutions and technologies across Novartis. The purpose of the Visual Analytics Lead Test Management Expert is to validate that the Visual Analytics solutions and platforms meet quality, performance, architectural and functional requirements; that every test effort is effectively planned, monitored and executed and the core activities required by the Testing Framework are completed in a structured and consistent manner; to drive innovation of test methods and tools to support more lean and agile ways of working. The test management lead expert, test lead in short, is part of the team of Technical Experts responsible for defining the technology strategy, driving innovation and providing quality guidelines to the delivery teams to drive best practice in architecture and solution design. The test lead will play a key role in our journey to further scale the Visual Analytics portfolio while maintaining quality and performance, and move towards solution delivery through integrated product teams enabled by DevOps tools and processes. Key accountabilities are: To ensure brilliant basics - defining, rolling out and further developing consistent test standards, a methodology and use of tools that addresses all defined and newly developing aspects of quality solution delivery, including but not limited to: all test phases unit, system, integration and functional testing and acceptance performance/scalability testing creation of testing deliverables including testing approach, testing scenarios, conditions and expected results, test scripts and testing control sheets Review cycles including informal review, formal review, testing sign-off and quality assurance review stakeholder engagement and sign-off processes test environment and test data management Adherence with Security and Compliance policies and procedures within Service Delivery scope. To inspire, advocate and lead build, lead and coach a highly efficient testing team across the functional portfolios and across different delivery capabilities to drive a successful product lifecycle, helping to shift-left identification and resolution of defects to the earliest possible stage. Innovate and automate - design and implement newer, more efficient and effective ways of testing, to support technology and solution delivery strategies, e.g. through automated test frameworks and help streamline quality governance of the platform and applicationsMinimum requirements University degree in computer science, engineering or information technology discipline or comparable education, or equivalent experience. English fluent spoken and written. At least 5 years or more experience as a lead tester in an agile environment, thorough understanding of Agile/Scrum development, DevOps , CI/CD. Experience in the Data & Analytics domain is a big plus, especially with visual analytics tools (Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI etc). Tools: Jira, HP UFT (QTP), Proton, Test Rails, Selenium is strongly desired, Java or Python for automation is also important. SQL experience, Qlik APIs and performance testing tools (Jmeter, Loadrunner) a big plus. Understands quality management practices, key processes, and wide range of quality metrics.,
