The team is part of Fund Services Operations and performs the task of capturing, processing and validating all instructed trades for all clients in an accurate and timely manner, in accordance with client SLAs and codes of best practice.DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for daily management of fund accounting staff directly or through subordinate supervisors. Participates in extensive problem solving. Makes decisions regarding employment, reviews performance appraisals, training, disciplinary actions and salary recommendations. Manages all issues which are escalated by previous profile and ensures appropriate onward escalation to next levels as required. Responsible for building the right control environment and metrics to monitor and track performance delivery.Individual at this level may be an individual contributor due to the technical nature of the role.Duties and Responsibilities:OperationalValidate exceptions above defined materiality thresholdsIdentify core weaknesses in processes and identify potential solutionsContinuously develop industry/product knowledgeControl / RiskManage issues/exceptions above materiality thresholds for resolutionStaffProvides technical direction and support to assigned staff.Development of goals and execution of strategies within a department.Ensures that decisions are guided by policies or established practices that will have limited impact on company revenues/assets.Work with T&D to ensure coverage and implementation of training needs and requirements for staff.Lead L&D sessions for staffPlan Staff professional development and mobility plansOthersWork with all internal and external stakeholders to meet overall business needsInvolvement and initiative in global projects impacting FS KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, economics or equivalent experience.10-12 years experience with pricing, corporate actions, fund accounting, security database or custody environment.Advanced fund accounting principals and theories.Experience with implementing process improvement methodology and/or demonstrated experience with efficiency improvement.Ability to effectively communicate with, internal and external clients.Mid to large size management experience, direct and remotely.Excellent organizational and time management skillsIn-depth knowledge and understanding of global investment markets, instruments types, fund types and accounting policiesGood communication and interpersonal skills.Experience in people management (inc. training, resource planning etc)Control and procedure orientedComputer literate - Word, Excel etcKnowledge of Invest One accounting system would be beneficial but not essentialKnowledge of Custody and how it operates would be beneficial but not essential,
