Knowledge of commercial insurance underwriting, coverageand rate analysis. Relevant experience in claims adjudication. Basic health and insurance regulatory and legislativeknowledge including familiarity with the administrativeimpacts of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Proficient in use of Microsoft Office tools (especiallyMicrosoft Excel)Introduce and maintain competitive and cost effectiveBenefit Programs; Underwriting && Claims Management for various policies fromclaim registration stage till final settlement of claim; Manage business relationships with outside consultants,auditors, and insurance vendors necessary to supportbenefitprogram administration, negotiate rates and contract termsfor group insurance policies, third party administrators, andconsultants; Monitor and measure employee satisfaction with benefitprograms and ensure benefits options are communicatedand understood, and that employees have seamless serviceexperience with the providers chosen; Provides oversight for all benefit systems necessary to ensureuninterrupted service to employees; Develop && report on recommended benefit changes tosenior management; Oversee the preparation and review of annual benefitreports (e.g. IRS Form 5500) for all health and welfare benefitprograms; Directs the analysis of laws and regulations impactingemployee benefit programs and takes steps to assure thatprograms are in compliance; Responsible for all retirement and other benefit plandocuments and contracts to determine contract coverage asrequired and to assure consistency with policy, withappropriate input of legal counsel; Maintain detailed and accurate records of policiesunderwritten and decisions made. Provides oversight of benefit eligibility, enrollment,deductions, claims handling, and vendor payments; Mentor, guide and develop the team for achievement offunctional objectives. Ensure employees have access to toolsnecessary to understand and enroll in benefit options. Work with Finance providing oversight of benefit programaudits
