Hands- on experience in Cloud deployment and management PaaS or SaaS Operations preferred. Implement operational tools and best practices like deployment, provisioning, monitoring, performance measurement tools etc. Responsible for performance, availability and scalability of the infrastructure. An understanding of cloud solution approaches from a technical (infrastructure), service management, financial and sourcing perspective. Define and lead proof of concepts and pilots to support the use of cloud computing. Cloud environment administration (Datacenter), Responsible for Cloud production environment monitoring, performance, release/ deployment, security, reliability, availability, capacity, latency, and other non- functional concerns. This is a 100 % hands on role managing the Cloud deployment and administration, application Release management/ deployment, tools ownership & meet availability requirements. Would be a best fit for someone who has come from a traditional Datacenter infrastructure Linux system administration role and has recently moved into a Cloud infrastructure role over the last 5+ year. Deep hands on experience on Vmware, Openstack, Containers Kubernetes, Docker Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies Required Skills B.S (Preferred M.S) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar dept technical degree At least 5+ years experience in Unix/ Linux System Infrastructure Administration in a SaaS or Cloud Operations. Proven track record with a minimum of 5+ years as Lead System Administrator Regularly improve the security posture of enterprise systems and network infrastructure 2- 3+ years hands on experience in implementation and operationn of Openstack deployment technologies (TripleO, MaaS, Juju), Docker Containers, Kubernetes, and VMWare ESX / vCenter 5+ years of deep hands on experience with Ubuntu and Centos Linux, KVM, libvirt, VMWare, or other virtualization technology etc. large, world- wide deployments required Experience with Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar tools highly desired 5+ years of deep hands on experience in cloud infrastructure [Compute, Storage & Network] 5+ years of strong hands on background in data centers, networking, virtualization and service management. Knowledgeable on specific technologies is preferred: DNS, Storage (Netapp, Pure, NFS/ NIS), AD/ LDAP, Git, Strong scripting skills (e.g. Python, Shell, Ruby, Perl, other). Knowledge of IP networking, VPNs, DNS, load balancing and firewalls. Experience working with solutions at scale. Willingness to enhance team learning environment by providing and encouraging mentorship and technical leadership. Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Icinga2). Experience working modern configuration management tools (Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Salt). Experience with distributed storage solutions (iSCSl, Ceph, Swift, other). Experience with networking concepts and protocols (include SDN, NFV). Must be a flexible, continuous learner and knowledge sharer who is an excellent communicator. This person must work well in a team environment who appreciates challenge and comfortable and effective working in new areas that require experimentation and rapid problem solving.
