Job Description

Technical requirements

  • Candidate should have preferably worked in an Fabrication and Assembly shop which is manufacturing heavy fabricated equipments made of stainless steel and carbon steel weighing above 10 tones.
  • Candidate should have exposure to various codes like ASME, DIN, AWS, IS2062 etc.
  • Must be well versed with updated fabrication and assembly equipments, tools and fixtures and working on improvement processes.
  • Should be able to execute and monitor Shop plans in accordance with the Delivery requirements.
  • Well versed with the latest Fabrication and assembly technologies and VSM of the various processes.
  • Improvement on Productivity, OTD and Cost must be the biggest focus area for him.
  • Monitoring of Planned vs. actual and doing an appropriate capacity planning.
  • Working knowledge of SAP is required.
  • Knowledge on welding process like GTAW, FCAW, GMAW, SAW, MIG/MAG would be an added advantage etc.
  • Must be competent to perform assembly and prove by examples - leading from the front.
  • Know how of the machining topics will be a requirement.
  • Working on the continual improvements in the shop.
  • Knowledge on mechanical/ hydraulic/pneumatic assemblies will be an added advantage.
  • He should have experience in handling the ISO documentations and Audit.
  • He should be able to solve day to day problems at shop floor.
  • He should be able to help in product operational issues at site.
Required Candidate profile
  • Experience required is min 20 years with min 3-4 years leadership role of directly heading the complete shop.
  • Additional experience in maintenance of plant and machinery.
  • Must be aggressive (go getter) and have positive attitude.
  • Should have handled a team of over 175 people consisting of Planning, Assembly Engineers, Technicians (Fitters, Fabricator etc.) and Contractors.
  • Should be able to provide the required MIS to the management.
  • Well versed with principles of Lean, 5S and BMP.
  • Must be very strict with the OTD requirements and its achievement and act as a team player and coordinator.
  • Preferably from MP and surrounding region and willing to be based in Indore.
