Dev Ops SpecialistCorporate Jaipur, IndiaDescriptionDevOps engineers are responsible for setting up and managing automated processes for deployment and testing across multiple Salesforce environments for our customer projects. They manage sandboxes and work with the development teams to ensure developers are successfully using continuous integration, so strong communication skills are important in this position. They are also responsible for ensuring the project team adheres to change control and governance processes and negotiating the timing of releases.DevOps engineers work with the rest of the functional and technical consulting team to ensure that work can be reliably packaged and deployed to other environments. They emphasize technologies such as version control, continuous integration, build scripting, and the use of Salesforce-specific deployment tools.ResponsibilitiesDesigns and implements the deployment and automated testing processes for client projects including build scripting and version controlOversees the deployment of code and metadata between multiple Salesforce orgsEnsures that change control and governance processes are upheld by the client and Appirio teamsAdvises the team on optimal design to facilitate deployments and implements manual changes as needed across environmentsJudges the tradeoffs with technology and feasibility and makes choices that fit the constraints of the project.Serves as the deployment and environment expert on Appirio projects focused on Salesforce.com - Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Community Cloud, Marketing Cloud and the App Cloud platform.Works directly with clients to negotiate the use of environments and timing of releases.Provides mentoring and guidance to other team members, including offshore team members.Education and Required ExperienceRequires a Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field4+ years of experience with DevOps and Salesforce. Salesforce experience is must.One or more current Salesforce certifications (Development Lifecycle and Deployment Designer, Administrator/Advanced Administrator, Platform Developer 1, App Builder, Sales/Service Cloud)Knowledge of Salesforce Deployment Best Practices including Salesforce DX1+ years experience managing GIT version control repositories (including use of GitLab, Bitbucket, or GitHub)Experience with Continuous Integration or Deployment tools (including, but not limited to GitLab CI, Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, AutoRabit, Copado or Gearset),
