With Fairmont Jaipur, we are excited to introduce a new audience to the understated elegance, hallmark service and unforgettable experiences that have long captivated our discerning guests, the world over.Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director, Food & Beverage, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment, and actively participate in health and safety initiatives
  • Prepare beverage orders including a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Adhere to all hotel environmental policies and initiatives
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Supervise day-to-day bar operations adhering to service standards
  • Assist management by creating weekly duty roster
  • Checking of guests satisfaction and proper handling of feedback and follow-up
  • Perform opening and closing duties as assigned (check list)
  • Assist in conducting daily shift briefings to update and disseminate relevant information to bar colleagues
  • Ensure that all operating equipment, service and storage areas are maintained properly
  • Help minimize waste, neglect, breakages and mishandling of supplies and equipment
  • Carry out light cleaning and maintenance of the pantry area
  • Monitor quality of beverage products in every single order
  • Check on employees discipline, grooming standards and punctuality; provide coaching
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all F&B services, outlets, hotel services/features
  • Handle cash following established and proper Accounting procedures
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all products available to the guest and to keep Servers informed of the availability of bar products
  • Ensure the bar is kept in a clean and orderly condition at all times
  • Utilize computer operating system for ordering food and beverages and obtaining reports necessary for remittance
  • Order stock, maintain inventory control and ensure all beverages sold are accounted for
  • Ensure compliance with provincial liquor regulations
  • Sell, present and serve beverages in accordance with hotel standards
  • Other duties as assigned
, *Qualifications:
  • Previous Bar tender experience preferred
  • Good Knowledge of Beverages required
  • Can prepare different mock tails and cocktails.
  • Juggling skills preferred
  • Previous Point of Sale system experience required
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
  • University/College degree/diploma in a related discipline preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs
  • Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
