Opening for Principal | Al Salama Group Posted 2 years ago Al Salama Group of Companies Al Salama Group of Companies The school Principal serves as the educational leader, responsible for managing the policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure that all students are supervised in a safe learning environment that meets the approved curricula and mission of the school. Achieving academic excellence requires that the school Principal work collaboratively to direct and nurture all members of the school staff hired by the Board of Directors. The Principal is responsible for scheduling, curriculum development, extracurricular activities, personnel management, emergency procedures, and facility operations. Primary Duties & Responsibilities The Principal is directly responsible for the following key tasks: Provision of full information to the Board on all issues pertaining to the College; Implementation of its overall policies and provision of advice to the Board on policy matters and forward planning; Direction, conduct, management, organization and tone of the College and for the overall supervision of all College activities; Appointment, care, professional development and dismissal of staff, with the agreement of the College Administrator and the Managing Director Management of the College finances , buildings and infrastructure Exercise of a leadership role in managing relationships and building a collaborative team; Provision of educational leadership, planning, implementation and monitoring of the academic curricular and co-curricular programs; Academic, personal and social development of students, their enrolment and dismissal; Active participation in appropriate professional educational organizations; Maintenance of a co-operative and supportive atmosphere within the College community and between the College and the broader community. Management and development of the college culture, where learning is paramount, and all individuals are encouraged, respected and challenged intellectually, physically and socially Maintenance of an understanding of evolving trends in education, keeping abreast of school leadership and curriculum development issues and participating in principal development activities. Oversee College development and promotion To be responsible for the implementation of these objectives through the curriculum and practices within the College The development of the physical infrastructure and resources of the College Effective in-service development and training for staff, regular staff evaluation and appraisal, staff welfare The encouragement of individual student progress and development in the following areas: academic; social and emotional; cultural spiritual; physical.
