Job SpecificationWithin the Global Marine & Navy business at Johnson controls, the Navy systems business works onthe bespoke design of the HVAC and refrigeration systems on Navy vessels around the Globe. We aredesigning, supplying and commissioning complex systems on OPVs, Mine Hunters, Submarines and AirCraft Carrier in a variety of countries.We are looking for a Design Engineer to join the HVAC Design team in Kochi.You will be responsible forWorking on technical proposal for HVAC enquiriesWorking on projects from concept and detailed design through to providing design supportduring installation and commissioning.Carrying out HVAC design load calculations.Writing detailed specifications of the system and components, to align with the clientspecification and in accordance with any class rules,Preparing the system/components test procedures and writing technical reports,Conducting site visits and site surveys if necessary,Meeting with clients and project stakeholders during the project lifecycle,Carrying out work in accordance with all health and safety requirements and adhere to bestsafety working practices at all times.Identifying new products or technologies enabling differentials for Johnson Controls in themarketProposing alterative design philosophies and/or arrangements to reduce energyconsumption, install costs and through life maintenance costsProviding technical review of OEM designs to ensure their compliance to our clientrequirements prior to manufacture.Skills and experience needed to be great at this roleGreat communication skills.Great team working skillsThe ability to prioritise workloadsDegree qualified Mechanical Engineering or HVAC or RefrigerationGeneral knowledge about fluids, Air conditioning system necessaryExperience in design welcome but not necessaryGood skills in using AutoCad 2D and 3D and/or InventorGood skills in Using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point6 Years - Bachelors Degree,
