Duties & Responsibilities : Use CAE tools (CAD, Solid Works) to develop and analyze product designsProvide knowledge of plastics and metal material properties and manufacturing including: material selection, injection molding process, extrusion process, thermoforming process, bonding and assemblyEstablish detailed design requirements / design input within a cross- functional team environmentSupport the creation and formal review of product drawings / output within a cross- functional team environmentParticipate in new product/ process launch initiatives and follow- up with current projects that require analysis and implementation of corrective actionsSupport verification and validation of production intent productCreate various design history file documentation throughout the development process including technical assessments, test protocols / reports, and various engineering documentationResearch and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications. Who You Are: Masters or Bacheloracircs Degree in mechanical engineeringStrong understanding of material properties and the general applications of plastics3 - 7 years of industry experience directly pertaining to mechanical engineering rolesProven awareness of other technical disciplinesExcellent communication skills and the ability to work with team members at all levels are required.,
