Job Description

    1. Design, deploy, and managed Discovery and Service Mapping solutions for both on-premises and cloud resources
    2. Define, create, and manage the Discovery infrastructure, including schedules, credentials, and mid-servers
    3. Define, create, and manage Service Mapping infrastructure, including patterns
    4. Provide Governance to ensure the integrity of Discovery and Service Mapping
    5. Develop, document, implement, and maintain Discovery and Service Mapping governance processes, procedures, and policies
    6. Create and maintain Discovery-related and Service Mapping-related documentation
    7. Design, develop, and deploy new Discovery or Service Mapping functionality
    8. Ensure that Discovery and Service Mapping are performing as expected
    9. Ensure Discovery meets it requirements, including schedule scope, schedule completion and CMDB data population
    10. Ensure Service Mapping meets is requirements, including CMDB data population
    11. Define, create, and monitor Discovery / Service Mapping health reports and dashboards
    12. Identify, investigate and resolve Discovery and Service Mapping issues
    13. Design and deploy Discovery and Service Mapping Integrations
    14. Design, implement, and manage Discovery and Service Mapping integrations with other systems
    15. Ensure that Discovery and Service Mapping are aligned with other methods of populating the CMDB
    Required Qualifications
    1. Comprehensive understanding and background in ServiceNow Discovery, including Cloud Discovery, and how each should populate the CMDB
    2. 5 years hands-on experience designing, implementing, and managing ServiceNow Discovery, including ServiceNow Cloud Discovery
    3. ServiceNow Cloud Discovery experience should include Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud APIs, Cloud Containers, etc.
    4. Experience developing, documenting, implementing, and maintaining ServiceNow Discovery governance processes, procedures, policies and related documentation
    5. Strong knowledge of IP Subnets to develop effective ServiceNow Discovery schedules
    6. Experience designing and implementing MID-Servers for ServiceNow Discovery
    7. Experience creating / updating ServiceNow Discovery IP ranges and schedules
    8. Experience must include knowledge of, and the ability to properly interpret and act on, CI IRE rules, discovery logs (e.g.: errors), patterns and probes (e.g.: debugging)
    9. Knowledge of protocols such as HTTP, TCP, SNMP, SOAP, and REST
    10. System administration experience using SHELL/BASH and / or PowerShell
    11. Familiarity with XML and JSON/script language concepts
    12. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
    13. Strong interpersonal skills
    14. Proven self-starter who is resourceful, takes the initiative, and sees it through
    15. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to interact professionally with a diverse group
    16. ServiceNow CSA or ITOM certifications
    17. ServiceNow Discovery Fundamentals
