Job Description

Purpose:

  • Perform a full range of process & technology duties, i.e. follow up of BF operation and anticipation of its technological needs (repair, improvement of certain parameters, control on Si and sulphure, watch over stable volumes daily output), quality and consumptions control.
Main Accountabilities:
  • Ensure H&S in BF and related facilities and enhancement of this culture.
  • Hold assessment of all BF one after other and maintaining health assessment log for future repairs and technicals needs.
  • Analyse daily consumptions and hot metal parameters, i.e. consumption of coke, PCI coal, anthracite, natural gas, oxygen and burden constituence & strict control over slag basicity, silicone, sulphure, top pressure, hot blast temperature and heat balance in the furnace.
  • Analyze the causes of incidents, stops(rulings) on the basis of reliable data and recommend the necessary corrective and preventive actions
  • Health assesment of all hot stoves of all blast furnaces and maintaining a log of it for future repairs and technological needs.
  • Diagnosis of running BF, hot stove, charging system and blast parameters and prediction of potential problem / issue to contain the situation in time.
  • Maintaining data and technical analysis of BFs and related facilities of past 10 years at least and recommendation for improvements.
  • Deep analysis of Capex and Opex needs of blast furnaces and related facilities.
  • Full involvement in the budgeting process and ensuring accurate budget needed according to the need of year to come.
  • Strong interaction with upstream and downstream functions and interacting with them on a daily basis to mitigate potential risks.
  • The raising awareness(sensitization) of the staff Participates in the training of the executives and the control(masters degree), the education, and plans the trainings(formations) necessary for the continuous improvement of their knowledge
Number of People Managed: n/aDesired Candidate Profile
  • Qualification & Experience: Graduate in operations / technical area with 15+ years of BF experience, including 5 years of previous managerial experience in industrial environment.
Competence Requirements:
  • Strong process knowledge, experience in BF operations.
  • Solid organizational and planning skills.
  • Understanding of business environment and its risks.
  • High level of energy and drive.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Communication skills to deal effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Both English and french speaking is preferable
Salary:10 Lac - 65 Lac,
