Job Description

    ASM is at the fore front of the every new initiative, new product launch, new systems & processes implementation. The role of ASM is also important for fresh managers. It gives oneself a chance to face day to day operational challenges in managing business & business partners, retailers, team. It will develop leadership skills in a person, help develop understanding of how to handle people, how to motivate a team. It will help in understanding how trade behaves, how different channels work. Set monthly team targets for value, focus brands, distribution parameters. Set yearly KRA for tge team. Keep tracking it with the team regularly.1. Ensure monthly data to be sent to the regional MIS regarding the key trackers by first week of the month.2. Ensure team is achieving the monthly incentives, money utilization & % of team members getting the incentive should be high at least 70%.3. Ensure on the job coaching of the team members. At least work once in a month with each team member. Check whether team is aware of the monthly targets for various parameters. Understand the field teams relationship with distributor, retailers in market.4. Appointing distributors if any area is vacant, ensuring infrastructure requirement as per company norms at all distributors. Infrastructure typically means money invested in the business, godown, vehicles to service market demand, computer for billing, right servicing norms in market, no of salesman, stock norms.5. Preparing monthly volume plan at sku level for the depots being handled.6. Designing trade scheme basis the priority brand & skus. Ensure schemes operate since 1st of the each month.7. Ensuring new launch/relaunch according to GTM norms - per outlet drop size according to the outlet type, distribution in predecided outlets.8. Build healthy relationship with distributors to maintain long term business growth.9. Implement visibility elements like windows, shelf strip in market by using merchandising team.10. Analyse the market share data, make plans to increase ND (numeric distribution), WD (weighted distribution), SAH (share among handlers), market share.11. Push back competition, track competition activities. Make strong plan to beat competition by using distribution, stock depth, trade scheme.12. Ensure distributor maintain stock as per company decided stock norms, market coverage 4 times in a month, proper system compliance at a distributor like data upload, syncing data with server. Handheld for order taking in market for salesman.13. Beat plan as per norm, outlet addition to ensure a standard dealer count in the geography. Beat realignment if needed.
