Job Summary:Principal duties and responsibilities List of 6 - 12 essential responsibilities / duties of the position (limit it to this number) We are looking for a language engineer who will work on development of a state - of - the - art text - to - speech system. You will be a member of the TTS language development team located in Lucknow, India. Principal responsibilities: Development, maintenance, testing and releasing of : o tokenization and text normalization o letter - to - sound conversion o phonological modelling o morphological analysis o prosody prediction o design, annotation and processing of text corpora and lexica Education:Master s degree or phD in computational linguistics / computer science or equivalent. Minimum years of work experience:No work experience required; we will accept applications from promising new graduates Required skills: Solid scripting skills (Python, Perl, Lua or similar) Good understanding of linguistics / phonetics. Ability to work in distributed teams Ability to work independently with minimum supervision Excellent communication skills in English (working language) Attention to detail and strong quality focus on deliverables Preferred skills: Good working knowledge of machine learning techniques and any other speech / language data mining related experience Good command of a third language (in addition to English / Hindi)
