Automation Test Lead

Job Description

As a Test Automation Capability Lead, your role involves developing and executing a comprehensive test automation strategy. This includes identifying and implementing the best tools and technologies, maintaining test automation frameworks, and leading a team of automation testers. You will work closely with developers, platform and product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and develop effective test plans covering all aspects of the system under test.**Key Responsibilities:**- Develop and implement a test automation strategy that aligns with the organizations testing objectives. Identify the types of tests to be automated, tools, frameworks, and resources required.- Identify and prioritize automation opportunities based on risk, cost, and business value. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs and areas where automation can provide the greatest benefit.- Select and implement appropriate automation frameworks and tools considering factors such as test types, team skillset, and budget.- Lead a team of automation testers in developing, executing, and maintaining automated tests. Provide mentorship, coaching, set goals, monitor progress, and report to stakeholders.- Work with stakeholders to ensure automated tests meet their needs. Regular communication, feedback gathering, and adjustments as needed.- Monitor the effectiveness of the test automation program and report progress to stakeholders. Track metrics such as test coverage, execution time, and defect detection rate.- Stay updated on the latest test automation technologies and best practices. Attend conferences, read industry publications, network with professionals, and contribute to team knowledge base and training.**Qualifications Required:**- Bachelors degree in computer science or related field.- 8 years of testing experience and 5 years in test automation.- 3 years of team leadership experience.- Proficiency in Test Automation Frameworks and Strategies, Prioritizing Automation Opportunities, Team Leadership, Stakeholder Management, and Monitoring and Reporting.The company is focused on building necessary Test Automation Capabilities within delivery teams to improve software quality, reduce testing costs, and accelerate product releases.
