Job Title: EHSS Head Department: EHS Designation: Assistant General Manager Reporting To : Head of EHS JOB PURPOSE (Briefly describe the objectives of the job): 1. To provide leadership and expertise in all aspects of Environment, Occupational Health, Hygiene, Safety & Sustainability, Loss prevention, Emergency Management for commercial operation to ensure legislative and corporate obligations are achieved. 2. To manage activities in compliance with state, company and regulatory requirement eg. EHSS Policy and Standards, Statutory compliance 3. Support Head EHSS in strategic/Tactical and operational management in the areas of EHSS risk management EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE: 1. Graduate Engineer (Chemical) or 2. Post Graduate Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science and 3. Advanced diploma in Industrial Safety (Chemical) 4. Design, operate and maintain Effluent Treatment plants/Multiple effect evaporators/Incinerators/Driers / zero discharge waste water treatment infrastructure for at least 15 years 5. Process safety and administrative safety management in Chemical/Pharmaceutical industry at least 10years (development, implementation and maintenance) 6. Occupational Hygiene and Health Management in Pharmaceutical/Bio pharmaceutical/Chemical industries 10 years 7. Developing implementing EMS for at least 10 years 8. Safety Officer in Chemical and Pharmaceutical for at least 15 years. 9. Developing and Implementing the Industrial Hygiene Programs for at least 10 years 10. Emergency management System ( Operational/tactical/ Strategic) 10 years 11. Knowledge of EHSS regulations and practice at least 1 20 years 12. Experience in implementing safety programs in chemical/bio-chemical manufacturing environments 13. IT literate, with the ability to use the full Microsoft Office package 14. Knowledge of current Health and Safety practice within the CRO/Biopharma/Pharma / Chemical sector TECHNICAL /FUNCTIONAL SKILLS: 1. EHSS Management System 2. Process Safety Management , Administrative Safety management 3. Safe Systems of work (permit to work, risk assessment etc) 4. EHSS Compliance management (regulatory and internal) 5. Wastewater treatment technologies 6. Occupational Health & Hygiene management 7. Emergency management Systems 8. Biosafety & Biosecurity 9. Radioactive Material Handling 10. IT literate, with the ability to use the full Microsoft Office package 11. Knowledge of current Health and Safety practice within the CRO/Biopharma sector 12.
