AEM Architect

Job Description

Objective :

The purpose of this role is to be responsible for all the technical aspects of larger, complex projects ofn Rage. The Technical Architect is responsible for the overall technical design and build of projects/products in AEM. This role is instrumental in understanding, planning and implementation of the technology evolution for the organisation in line with Rages technology vision.

Functional Responsibilities :

• Evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms (including web applications, frameworks and deployment stack) for delivering companys services
• Work with Project Managers to clarify the project scope and requirements.
• Work with Client Servicing team and Project Managers to define the technical aspects of the project, including design and build
• Guide Team Leads to draw up a technical specification for custom development and systems integration requirements
• Participate in regular architecture, schedule and milestone reviews
• Be the focal point for all technical issues and initiatives of the company
• Check whether all components of the technical architecture are properly implemented and ensure rectification where necessary
• Resolve technical problems
• Manage risk identification and risk mitigation strategies associated with the architecture
• Keep up to date with advancements in latest technologies
• Understand the technology evolution in the industry and plan for feasible technology evolution for the organisation

Organisation Responsibilities :

• Keep up to date with advancements in latest relevant technologies
• Identify areas where cutting edge work is progressing and where Rage can use it
• Learn new technologies and identify where it can serve Rages business
• Provide inputs to non-technical teams on impact of changes in design and architecture
• R&D and onboarding of new tech expertise
• Actively participate in implementing companys technology roadmap
• Advise on gaps in Rage s technology growth

People Responsibilities :

• Ensure development of team through training and mentoring

Competence :

Education :

• BE/B.Tech/MCA [ideally should have CS background]
• Exposure to Project Management and Architecting tools will be an advantage.
• AEM Architect Certification

Experience :

• Minimum of 5 years of hands on Java & J2EE/JEE software development experience with minimum of 4 years of hands on experience on AEM.
• Minimum of 3 years of AEM Architect experience

Knowledge :

• Experience in systems integration and development, package implementation, and/or interactive design
• Experience as a manager of a small team
• Experience working with Adobe AEM (CQ)
• Front End technologies - HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, CSS, Angular JS, CSS Preprocessing, Responsive Design
• Experience with one or more Java concepts and patterns including: Java/J2EE, JSP, Spring, Sling, JMS, JUnit, AOP, MVC, Eclipse
• Experience and full lifecycle involvement with both waterfall and Agile methodologies
• Experience with multiple source control systems: CVS, SVN, Git
• Working knowledge of multiple web and application tier technologies: Tomcat, WebSphere, Weblogic, Apache Http, Spring tcServer, Solr, open source packages
• Experience with web application design and analysis, design patterns, and object oriented design
