Job Description

The Private Bank is involved with every facet of wealth management, including investments, liquidity and credit management, and tax and estate planning.Role OverviewWe are looking for a dynamic individual, with excellent communication and analytical skills to become an integral part of our goals- based planning team. The role will involve close partnership with Wealth Management advisors to facilitate goals-based conversations utilizing the full breadth of analytical modeling tools available to them.Key Responsibilities:
    • Advise on usage of analytical, wealth planning tools to better enable advisor teams to engage with clients and prospects in goals-based advice
    • Guide advisor teams on how to structure and present wealth planning analyses in a simple-to-understand, conversational manner
    • Become a subject-matter expert on J.P. Morgan wealth planning tools, sophisticated modelling, and concepts including asset allocation, goals-based planning, cash flows, tax considerations, entity and account structures, currency references, and more
    • Help train and answer queries from Advisor teams related to tools and goals-based conversations
    Subsequent work could include:
    • Create bespoke analyses in unique and complex client situations
    • Manage and update PowerPoint templates for the tools as well as particular client situations and case studies advisor teams use
    • Serve as a team representative and subject matter expert to explain analyses and make recommendations to clients
    • Assist model owners in supporting tool upkeep including meeting risk and review requirements for all models and tools
    Essential Skills & Experience:
    • 2-4 years of work experience in the financial services industry preferred
    • Bachelor s degree from a top university, preferably in a quantitative discipline such as finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a related field
    • Master s degree and/or progress toward the CFA or CFP designation is a plus
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent computer skills, including Excel and PowerPoint
    • Advanced knowledge of statistics and Monte Carlo Simulation
    • Exceptional problem-solving skills and quantitative/mathematical aptitude, with the ability to ask questions and understand the true nature of the problem presented
    • Comfortably uses numbers to provide guidance to advisor teams (and subsequently, their clients) in a compelling manner
    • Experience communicating complex analyses in a client-friendly way
    • Deep knowledge of and keen interest in financial markets and investments
    • Ability to learn and adapt quickly and complete open-ended, complex projects
    • Hard-working with ability to perform under pressure and multitask
    • Flexible and team-oriented with a focus on efficiency and process improvement
