Job Description

We re looking for an Product Support Engineer to join our Travelex Mumbai team . The Application Support engineer will be responsible for providing engineering support of our incoming tickets, including extensive troubleshooting and debugging of various applications across all environments on our platform .Why is this exciting

  • Being an Application Support Engineer you will be the first line of defense in finding the root cause of an application malfunction and resolve it
  • You get to work with cross functional teams on a daily basis to contribute to the overall IT needs and strategy
  • Contribute to innovations/service improvements to enable business do things faster/smoother as well as reduce manual work.
How you ll make an impact:
  • Investigation and resolution of Incidents within agreed SLA s
  • Ownership and coordination of issue resolution across multiple teams such as third party package vendors, Travelex in-house development teams and Travelex infrastructure teams
  • Maintaining the support knowledge base of standard fixes / issue remediation work instructions
  • Continuous improvement of Travelex application support standards and processes
  • Proactive Problem Management, analysing support metrics and identifying root causes
We tend to look for people with:Minimum 2-7 years of experience in production application support
  • Experience of programming with stored procedures
  • Experience with databases, data models, triggers
  • Experience in troubleshooting large integrated systems and databases
  • Experience with transaction handling strategies
  • Experience understanding and application of persistence strategies
  • Experience of Java, Web services, Apache/tomcat SQL Server or Dot Net/SQL .
  • Experience of working in Production Services team
