Job Description

JPMAM Luxembourg Product Implementation is the centre of expertise and knowledge for service providers for the JPMorgan Asset Management Luxembourg, French, and Irish fund range. The team is responsible for the Luxembourg management and implementation of all fund related initiatives (new products, infrastructure enhancements to existing products, local coordination and management of all affected parties). Our core focus is on those activities performed in the funds domicile, and more specifically in Luxembourg: Transfer Agency, Fund Accounting, Custody, the Management Company functions, Audit, and general oversight of delegated matters with Luxembourg stakeholders. The team is also responsible for launch and closure of share classes, an activity often driven by client requests. The team is made of experienced product & project managers.

  1. Main Responsibilities & Duties
  1. The primary responsibility will be the delivery of tasks in relation to 1) share class creation and set-up, 2) share class de-activation and 3) general input and verification of data using the Fund Data Portal platform.
  1. The share class creation and set-up is an important preliminary step prior to the launch. Once a new share class is ready, the client can invest money into the fund.
  1. Example 1 of assignment: launch of the JPMorgan Asia Pacific Income Alpha I2 dist HKD hedged share class.
  2. The Product Implementation Analyst will receive the instruction to create the Asia Pacific Income I2 dist HKD Hedged share class and make all required information available within a specified time frame i.e. 2 weeks.
  3. The Product Implementation Analyst will initially create skeleton share class in Fund Data Portal FDP system, and immediately reach out to external service providers to enrich the share class data with the critical information required for the launch. For instance, the Product Implementation Analyst will contact Clearsteam, the London Stock Exchange, WMDaten, etc to issue ISIN code, Sedols, etc. Once the data (the ISIN as an example) is received, it will be input into FDP.
  4. There are several types of share classes, and the set-up rules can be quite different. For instance, certain share classes are simple to set-up (short set of parties to contact to source data from), some are more complex (more extended set of parties to contact, and more complex rules to apply).
  • Once the full data set is available, a number of controls are performed by Product Implementation Analyst to ensure data completeness. Once the Product Implementation Analyst provides the sign-off, it will mean that the client will be able to invest in the share class subject to the management company approval.
  1. Example 2 of assignment: The JPMorgan Europe Technology Fund is changing name.
  2. Upon notification, the Product Implementation Analyst process the name change for all share classes in the FDP system.
  1. Example 3 of assignment: share class de-activation.
  2. The Product Implementation Analyst will review cash projection reports daily. If a share class is experiencing a full redemption, then several teams will need to be informed by email and the share class status will need to be updated in the FDP system.
  1. The role requires cross functional collaboration with internal and external parties, which will vary by asset class and fund type. The tasks requires a strong attention to details and the work output must be of perfect quality. There are multiple users and consumers of the data mentioned above.
