Job Description

The Role ResponsibilitiesERMF

  • Review and ensure all material operational risks in the 1 st line and end-to-end processes owned by Corporate Affairs, Brand & Marketing (CABM) are identified, assessed, mitigated, monitored and reported.
  • Complete Group control assessments and conduct periodic review of controls.
  • Drive control assessments and risk assessments being completed within agreed timelines
  • Support review and design of controls in areas of interdependencies and hands offs with other businesses and functions
  • Support CABM on any risk system related issues, e.g. wrt EORP
  • Monitor and report Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for CABM to serve as leading indicators for high risk processes in the functions
  • Train the CABM teams in Group, Region and Country on ERMF controls
  • Act as escalation contact for CABM for operational risk related incidents and queries that arise
  • Streamline and drive efficiency in the ERMF reporting process.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with CABM risk owners and other teams with key process interdependencies
Controls & Assurance
  • Review and ensure risks in CABM are identified, assessed, mitigated, monitored and reported.
  • Complete control assessments and conduct periodic review of current controls.
  • Develop and implement controls specifically for the higher risk processes such as Sponsorships and Donations
Policies
  • Support cascade and rollout of policies applicable to the Function and changes required to the existing ERMF design to enforce policy standards where applicable.
  • Ensure policies that govern key Corporate Affairs, Brand & Marketing processes such as Sponsorships and Donations meet governance standards and ensure procedures are in line with such policies
Target operating model
  • Work with the Corporate Affairs, Brand & Marketing teams to establish effective ways of working.
  • Support initiatives towards ensuring we have the appropriate risk and control infrastructure for the Function post changes to the organisational structure
Processes
  • Review and work with the team to enhance the processes and associated standards used in the team, prioritising high risk processes.
Projects & Process Improvement Initiatives
  • Participate in change related and other projects and ensure deliverables are completed in a timely manner.
Key Stakeholders
  • Corporate Affairs, Brand & Marketing teams (Country/Regional/Group)
  • Regional CABM Governance Leads
  • Operational risk (Country/Regional/Group)
  • Group Risk Owners, in particular Conduct, Financial Crime and Compliance (CFCC)
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in banking sector (exposure to Corporate Affairs, Brand & Marketing preferred but not essential).
  • Ability to lead and drive initiatives with a structured and focused approach.
  • Effective team and stakeholder management skills and experience in an international environment.
  • Clear understanding of the Group s Enterprise Risk Management Framework or equivalent experience gained in other organizations.
  • Sound judgment with critical thinking skills and courage necessary to perform a control role and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Strong controls experience with proven expertise in developing controls and performing control sample testing.
  • Problem solving skills with ability to influence at all levels of Corporate Affairs, Brand & Marketing.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
