Should have a basic understanding of pension benefits and should be able to differentiate between DB and DC schemes (knowledge of UK employee benefits would be an added advantage) Carry out actuarial valuations of defined benefit occupational pension schemes Carry out member specific benefit value calculations e.g. transfer values, retirement costs Carry out other calculations as required Carry out all other reasonable requests and objectives to an acceptable standard within agreed timescales Prepare reports and letters relating to actuarial advice Ensure that all statutory and company regulations are followed while processing work to protect clients and the business interests Actively participate in departmental meetings Develop an understanding of technical areas as appropriate to role under the guidance of a senior member of the team Maintain an up to date knowledge of legislative changes and actuarial procedures Maintaining a high quality of deliverables, ensuring a 95% QC positive track Achieve process competencies within the time scales agreed with your line manager Target of at least 7 hours per individual per day on client work, in line with the business requirements of Actuarial Delivery (EB) Proper recording of time on practice engine and maintenance of timesheets Ensure productivity target of at least 100% over Bizflow review period Contribute ideas and suggestions for improvements to process templates Training and sharing of knowledge with colleagues Maintain record of performance through monthly update of 1-1 templates Make steady progress with appropriate professional examinations as agreed with line manager with the support of the company ,
