Job Description

  • The individual will be responsible to provide front line support for Mortgage Applications related to Mortgage Backed Securities for all global regions.
  • He She will be part of the team that provides technical and business support for the Mortgage application users.
  • The suite of applications handle Global Mortgage Securitized Products within GBAMT.
  • Services include batch processing, user queries, application monitoring, Autosys monitoring, bob job monitoring, incident management, problem management, service request management and weekendholiday support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide stable platform for the business and middle office globally with focus to users
  • Provide day-to-day application support to application systems, which includes answering user queries, monitoring applications, reviewing and planning of system changes and server upgrades
  • Interact closely with regional and global business users (client services and operations staff) and other groups in Technology to ensure issues are addressed and communicated in a timely manner
  • Look across the entire production environment to aid continuous improvement with the state and supportability of production systems
  • Troubleshoot production issues to identify root causes and track issues to their completion
  • Work closely with developers and business analysts who are not in the region to plan system rollout and application updates, provide feedback on production system performance, and investigate production problems and identify solutions
  • Manage serious outages in production by interfacing among business, developers, infrastructure teams and management.
  • Main tasks include: provide communication, take remedial actions to resolve outage, provide information to business to alleviate knock-on impact, work on post-mortem and follow-up actions for root cause identification, recurrence prevention, and any improvement in problem detection and resolution
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential production problems in all supporting systems and escalate them to relevant parties if necessary. Suggest improvements to existing processes for support both locally and globally

Requirements

Education: B.E. B. TechM.E. M. TechB.Sc.M.Sc.BCAMCA (prefer ITCS specialization)

Experience Range : 6 to 8 years

Mandatory skills

  • Experience in Unix, Shell Scripting, Autosys and SQL
  • Experience in L2 Production support
  • Experience in Incident, Problem Management
  • Communication skills

Desired skills

  • Experience in Python and ITRS
