Job Description

The primary function of the System Governance Analyst is to translate Supply Planning business strategies into SAP systems. The individual is responsible for implementing and supporting system best practices across Supply Planning processes, testing business functionalities, and supporting enhancements for Supply Planning systems.

The Technology, Process, Continuous Improvement and Learning Development team works closely with Supply Chain Operations to ensure executional excellence.

  • For the Technology team,the most critical aspects of our role is the ability to understand Supply Chain business principles, like Demand Planning or Supply Planning, and collaborate with our global team mates to reflect said business strategies within our system. Business knowledge is applied to ensure our systems reflect the required business need and generate appropriate outputs.
  • The Process, CI and Learning and Development Teams are the perfect partners to the Technology teamin that they ensure we drive executional excellence. Process rigor, project and change management are key principles within the team. Working in concert, both internally and wth our business partners, we advance the capabilites of General Mills through zero loss culture, standardization, leearning and developmentand continuous improvement.

    • 50% of time:

    Provide on-going business application support for Supply Planning business team

  • Maintain system parameters to reflect business strategies
  • Identify, develop and implement best practices,
  • Resolve end user system/process issues
  • Drive business process standardization
  • Utilize Continuous Improvement (CI) tools as necessary

    • 20% of time:

    Maintain sustain Supply Planning processes and system usage metrics

  • Support System wellness/health-check processes including compliance metric tracking
  • Support Sustain processes to ensure effective system utilization
  • Develop training documentation

    • 52% of time:

    Support business expansion initiatives via seamless systems integration

  • Establish impact of new technology on Supply Planning Systems along with the Strategic Technology Team
  • Support integration of new technology, corporate acquisitions and location transitions within current business processes / systems
  • Identify opportunity areas for new system solutions

    • 10% of time:

    Continuous Improvement individual development

  • Leverage global processes tools
  • Expand understanding of SC tools capabilities
  • Grow Technical Skillset, attend Soft skill and technical trainings

    • Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and to learn quickly
  • Good problem solving skills, bias for action, decisive, strong time management skills required
  • Experience dealing with U.S. personnel over phone preferred
