Job Description

ANDROID APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT EXPERT - LEADING E-COMMERCE/ INTERNET ORGANIZATION - MUMBAI - 2-5 YRS

  • POSITION : ANDROID DEVELOPMENT EXPERT
  • LOCATION : MUMBAI
  • EXPERIENCE : 2-5 YRS
  • ORGANIZATION : LEADING E-COMMERCE/ INTERNET ORGANIZATION

DESIRED ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Using fragments (static/ dynamic with master/detail layout), widgets (update/ interactive), and sensors (accelerometer/ geomagnetic field sensor)
  • Using tools to identify performance issues in apps to make apps run faster and more efficiently (rendering/ memory)
  • Localization to multiple languages (string resources/ Translations Editor) and accessibility
  • Adding geo features like Location (Location Services APIs), Places (detect/ enable apps), Mapping (location markers, map styling, Street View, and location tracking)
  • Creating advanced graphics (Canvas/ Animations/ Playing Vide) and custom views that extend or replace the functionality of views such as buttons and text fields as well as override the behavior or appearance attributes
Qualifications

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • B.Tech./ B.E./ Any relevant qualification
  • 2-5 experience in Android Application Development
  • User inputs controls / spinners/ picker dialogs; navigation strategies / menus/ tabs, themes and styles / extraction of resources, Material Design, Custom View (Canvas/ Paint)
  • Activity and Background processes - Broadcast Receiver, Content Provider, Task scheduling, Event triggers, performance implications of background processes, best practices for reducing battery drain, resource management
  • User Data Management - Shared preferences, File Systems, RoomDB, Android Architecture Components,
  • Tools - Android Stuidio/ Debugger (Memory profiling, Logging, Systrace, Exceptions, Error Handling), Profile GPU Rendering, Debug GPU Overdraw, Layout Inspector, Memory Profiler, Java heap dump analyzer
  • Third Party Libraries (Image Loading, Dependency Injection, Networking, MultiThreading esp. RxJava), Firebase Cloud Messaging , Android Testing Support Library
  • Android Asynchronous Programming (Looper, Handler, and HandlerThread)
  • Build - Gradle, Debug / Release Configuration
  • Other = Android JetPack, Architecture, Unit Testing, Security, App Release
