Job Description

What will you do every day

Haptik is looking for an Android developer to own the development of Haptik s AI Shopping Assistant SDK for Android.

Responsibilities include:

  • Understanding the requirements, architecting the features from scratch and developing it until production ready.
  • Managing the overall architecture of the app including network layouts, configurations and performance.
  • Unit- testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
  • Working on bug fixing and improving application performance.
  • Work closely with our product and design teams to customise the user experience for the Android platform and making sure the UI/UX is up to the mark for a world class product.
  • Collaborating with cross- functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Ok, youre sold, but what are we looking for in the perfect candidate
  • Strong object- oriented programming concepts and extensive experience of Java and Android SDK.
  • Experience publishing multiple high quality Android applications to the Google Play Store.
  • Strong understanding of android application framework architecture.
  • Expertise in Android UI Framework Concepts.
  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Experience with Android framework, as well as offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
  • Experience with JSON, consuming third- party libraries and RESTful APIs, Web Services.
  • Self- motivated and self- managed with a high degree of analytical ability and intellectual curiosity.
  • Possess good communication, analytical, logical and problem- solving skills.
  • Experience with Git/Bitbucket, Jira, and Jenkins tools.
  • Experience with Voice and Multilingual features would be an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of release management.
  • Sound interpersonal and team working skills.
  • Ability to work in a high pressure dynamic startup environment. Entrepreneurial zeal.

Requirements*
  • BE, B-Tech, Computer Science or equivalent from top-tier Engineering Institutes.
  • 3 7 years experience in start-ups / e-commerce / high intensity technology set ups in development and maintenance of Android applications.
