Markets & Investor Services:
  1. Fixed Income: Through its rates business, JPM makes markets, provides risk management solutions and arranges financing that help build and support corporations and financial institutions. The business consists of interest rates and derivatives products which provide tailored risk management solutions and execution to clients. JPM is a top-tier market participant for the interest rate swap market in India. JPM has been a market maker for FX, Forwards, swaps and other financial products in the foreign exchange and fixed income space.
  2. Cash Equities and F&O: Solutions include offering institutional investors, client trade execution services across BSE & NSE, High Touch & Direct Market Access, fundamental research and sales services on equities and derivatives and clearing services.
  3. Global Special Opportunities Group (GSOG): GSOG provides various forms of financing for companies that are underperforming relative to their true potential, or whose capital structure needs to be improved, including but not limited to purchasing and selling of non-performing loans.

Department DescriptionThe Asia Pacific Compliance Department supports the full range of the Firm s business in the region. It is split into regional Line of Business groups (based in Hong Kong/Singapore), which are aligned to each principal line of business and location teams which specialise in the specifics of the compliance and regulatory environment of the jurisdiction in which each is situated. Compliance support is provided by a combination of regional teams and location teams.Purpose of position:Responsible for implementing the firm s AML and anti-corruption programme in India for the Corporate and Investment Banking businesses. The role will involve working closely with the business, location Compliance & Line of Business Compliance to ensure that the AML and Anti-Corruption programmes in India are implemented as per the firm s policies and standards, as well as local laws and regulations.Key responsibilities:
  • Implementing the India AML programme, including risk assessments and trainings.
  • Lead the local AML investigations, including local reviews and alerts arising from regional GFCC Investigations, and resultant reporting obligations, if determined suspicious.
  • As the designated MLRO for the securities entity will have to liaise closely with FIU India and the regulators for any regulatory / reporting changes or for lobbing for any rule change.
  • Monitor new laws and regulations and work with business towards implementation.
  • Review existing procedures and develop new procedures, systems and controls to ensure compliance with current anti-money laundering requirements.
  • Provide guidance and advice to the business on their responsibility for complying with all relevant laws, regulations and firm policies, including AML and Sanctions rules and regulations.
  • Manage alerts arising from local lists screening.
  • Assist in the development, coordination and implementation of the AML and Sanctions training and testing programmes.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments regarding regulatory AML inspections, visits and prudential meetings.
  • Prepare AML reporting metrics for senior management and governance committees.
  • Partner with the Line of Business Compliance Officers and location Compliance Officers to ensure they understand the AML obligations for the business / location they support.
Experience:Min 8-10 years of related experience in AML, Sanctions or related disciplines.
  • An expert in India AML regulatory requirements
  • Experience in regulatory investigations an advantage
