Job Description

The Performance and Risk Analytics ( PRA ) Team is responsible for providing an overview and analysis of portfolio performance to institutional clients such as investment managers and superannuation funds. This is achieved through various analytical tools and reports including performance measurement, attribution and contribution analysis, risk analysis and other value-added services such as portfolio optimisation and manager analysis. PRA has 40+ clients and forms part of Investment Information Services within the Investor Services arm of J.P. Morgan.Position Summary:The Performance & Risk Analyst is responsible for supporting the preparation and delivery of client reports either directly, or through co-ordination with offshore locations. The Analyst is also expected to participate in projects and non-BAU and centralized functions as required.Major Responsibilities:To function as manager and Senior SME for delivering performance reports, including attribution, contribution, ex-post/ex-ante risk.To support senior analyst implement client change requests and coordinating with right stakeholders to implement technical solutions within the performance systems that meets client requirements.To assist with client queries directly related to reporting activity.To support new client on-boarding activity on behalf of the PRA team as required.To support the implementation of controls that address the key operational risks of the team.To support the Team Leaders in non-BAU projects as required

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the treatment of fees, taxes and adjustments from dividends and cash flows of the PRA core calculation methodology such as GOFGOT & NOFNOT.
  • Ability to articulate to clients the drivers of the security attribution report in terms of asset allocation & stock selection.
  • An understanding of the end-to-end workflow required to produce the below reports and ability to conduct a walk-through with a client and demonstrate how each report will adds value.
