Job Description

  • Pre-requisites for recruiting resources
    • Industry knowledge
      • P&C insurance Industry experience
      • Knowledge of either Personal, Commercial, Specialty lines (Must at least one of them)
      • INS21, INS22 and INS23 or equivalent insurance certification (Nice to Have)
    • Technical skills
      • Hands on experience in Application Development using .NET (C#), ASP.NET, SQL Server programming, XML, XSLT (Must)
      • Object Oriented Programming, SOAP (Must)
      • Customer interfacing experience and customer presentations (Nice to Have)
      • SOA, Design patterns (Nice to Have)
      • Biztalk, ESB, Security (https, Authentication and Authorization), Angular JS (for Skins), SSRS Reporting (Nice to Have)
    • Communication skills
      • Good communication skills (written and verbal) (Must)
    • Other insurance P&C packaged software experience (Must)
    • Duck Creek skills (Nice to Have)
      • Experience as Field Engineer in Duck Creek - Policy / Billing / Claims
      • Experience/knowledge of integration, skins
    • IT experience
      • Experience / knowledge of P&C Insurance software applications
      • Experience / knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (Must)
      • Knowledge of database - SQL Server (Must)
      • Experience and understanding of XML, XSLT (Must)
Experience with Integration and BI Tools (Nice to Have)Basic understanding of DCT application architecture and flow.FEs develop custom integration components (medium-high complexity) between DCT software and external systemsFEs develop custom extensions (medium-high complexity) to add functionality to DCT software that is not present out-of-the-box (OOB) using .NET, C#, SQLIndependently unit tests, debugs and corrects integration issues with low to medium complexityFEs support services teamsTroubleshooting technical issues at all levelsAdvising on feasibility of design approachesFEs support customersTraining on DCT software, installation, and configurationInstalling and troubleshooting customer environmentsBasic understanding of one of Integration Technology like WCF/Biztalk/ESB etc.Should be able to over-write (medium complexity) any product functionality if needed.Understanding of existing OOB interfaces within the application. Intermediate understanding of XML.Ability to use SOAP UI or WCFTestClient to test inbound/outbound interfaces.Should be aware how to use solution center / similar knowledge repositories like MSDN , Microsoft / DCT best practices and available tools/ acceleratorsShould provide inputs for estimation in simple to medium complexity componentsShould be able to guide team of 1 - 4 members from technical help perspective (Only for AM)Experience working with Project delivery team.Works collaboratively in a team environmentPerforms other duties as assigned
