This in turn helps us to provide better support to our broad client base.The Role Responsibilities & Our Ideal Candidate The EMIR SME StAR is responsible for maximising the business value of the product resulting from work done by the transformation teams. Working with the SPO & Regime leads towards successful delivery of the CFTC Re-write & SEC harmonisation onto the new StAR platform
    • Candidates should have a strong understanding of Transaction Reporting under CFTC & SEC DFA regulation.
    • Candidates will have knowledge of a range of financial products (e.g. Bonds, Equities, FX, Derivatives) and processes from end to end of financial operations.
    • Candidates should have demonstratable experience in designing and implementing regulatory change in relation to CFTC & SEC Transaction reporting
    • Candidates will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of people (cross border global teams). Candidates will also have excellent business and technical analytical skills and high-level problem-solving skills.
    Regulatory & Business Conduct

    • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
    • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters
    • Ensure close collaboration and a unified service delivery across the interrelated Data, Regulatory, Margin Operations and wider FMO and banks
    • Focus on the build of the strategic control framework supporting multi regime delivery.
    • Creating and maintaining a prioritised Controls Product Backlogs with the relevant stream POs, ensuring it is visible, transparent and clear
    • Ensure all control artefacts and assurance deliverables, including the Initial Release Plan and other associated mandatory milestones and tracking and reporting delivery against the Initial Release Plan
    • Ensuring the Agile Delivery Team members understand control items in the Product Backlogs to the level needed and leverage the wider scrum or scrum and cross streams forums
    • Communicating control build progress outside the core Agile Delivery Team to key stakeholders
    • Ensuring controls deliverables are of the desired quality and have appropriate endorsements/ sign-offs
    • Overseeing change and delivering the control products and processes into Production/BAU.
    • Owning the review of risk reduction benefits over the lifecycle of framework implementation
