Job Description

    Roles and ResponsibilitiesRegulatory & Business Conduct
    • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group s Values and Code of Conduct.
    • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
    • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

    • Products-Cash Management Services
    • Transaction Banking representatives
    • Business RMs from all Segments- CCIB/ME/BB etc
    • Clients of all segments.
    Other Responsibilities
    • To provide CMS related Services to Customers and to meet turnaround times as per the Service Level Agreement & productivity standards
    • Organization of work flow to achieve maximum productivity.
    • Handle staff referrals, customer enquiries, exceptions and irregular cases in accordance with agreed service standards.
    • Monitoring all transactions to ensure obligations/payments duly met.
    • Monitoring, timely reporting and taking corrective action of irregular items to facilitate early liquidation.
    • Develop Train, Motivate and Educate Staff and Enhance morale of staff under direct control.
    • Maintain data and statistics on performance of the team related to wholesale banking standards, customer information etc.,
    • Comply and monitor Key Control Standards.
    • Perform CRM checks as per schedule.
    • Ensure filing of related papers and enable easy retrieval of records wherever required
    • Responsible for Overall efficiency of the team
    • Handle all issues arising of Legal & Compliance matters pertaining to transactions of the CPC
    • Ensure no operating losses
    • Ensure adherence to reporting schedules & escalate matters to superiors for advice.
    • Ensure compliance with money laundering policies and procedures on an on going basis.
    • Ensure strict implementation of Group policies on KYC
    • Formulate recovery strategies, develop, maintain and test BC plan for their own functions in consultation with Country BCM
    • Raise awareness within the unit
    • To act as Checker for performing GL Reconciliation activities as per the CMO Recon Policy.
    • Depending on the Size and Complexity a Big department can consist of two or more units.
    • To act as Checker for the scanning activity on SSS system and ensuring timely scanning and authorization related to outward remittances.
    • Prepare BCP documents for the unit. Conduct BCP testing for CMS Bangalore as per BCP calender and forward the test result to the Country BCM and obtain feedback from Country BCM.
    • Ensure that following activities are carried out within your delegation accurately and on time
    • To hear (voice recorder) and ensure that call back is taken as per laid down guideline
    • Assist Business Unit Head in coordinating, driving and directing effective compliance and operational risk management at the business unit level
    • To ensure Operational Risk policies and procedures and the Risk Management Framework are effectively embedded and communicated within the Unit.
    • Assist in the identification of new business and regulatory risks and implement controls within the business unit to meet all regulatory and internal requirements.
    • Ensure proper functioning of day-to-day controls, periodic monitoring activities and timely resolution of risk issues.
    • Timely identification and escalation of risk issues.
