Job Description

  • Apparel designer with experience in handling brands, must have worked for young retail brands with strong commercial sense of colour, silhouettes, prints, fits and fabric bases.
  • In depth fabric knowledge and handling of woven, knits, flat knits and China fabrics. Should be aware of price points and drive cost driven design.
  • Ability to identify trends, conceptualize, create directions boards and help execute season wise collections based on cogs based design, fashion forecasts, Brand DNA, translating international trends to suit domestic needs.
  • Should be a keen observer of all macro and micro trends. Should be social media savvy.
  • Competition mapping by identifying new categories, gaps in current range, use of latest technology and driving commercial core basic programs. Consumer Insight by undertaking Individual projects to map consumer demographics.
  • Good communication, interpersonal skills and presentation skills are a must with an ability to consult, negotiate, and liaise effectively with a diverse range of people on a larger platform.
