Assistant Vice President- Finance We have been retained by our client, a well established, professionally managed foreign bank to identify an Assistant Vice President - Finance. The position will be based at Mumbai. JOB PURPOSE: Manage all aspects of business and financial planning and control as well as project/ program management as a subject matter expert, in line with finance and control policies.To understand the changing business needs and design and develop necessary MIS and value added reports & analysis around the same.RESPONSIBILITIES: Handling the day by day accounting. Taking care of accounting standards and finance activities.Monitor cash flow, expenses and budget.To prepare and finalize of balance sheet and schedules.To prepare and finalize of monthly, quarterly, half yearly & annual balance sheet.To handle Income Tax, Goods & Service Tax, TDS, Professional tax & related compliance. Other statutory compliance as per prescribed timelines.Filling of Tax return, TDS Return, Goods & Services Tax, Professional Tax Return and Tax audit report.Consolidation and submission of Regulatory returns like Risk Based Supervision, DSB returns and Other Financial and Transactional returns accurately and in a timely manner.Internal Audit of the account of all branches of the region.MIS from Branches including channel wise profitability statements on periodic basis.To prepare MIS and report to various Levels of Management on daily basis.Coordination between various function of branch.Coordinate with various audit teams like statutory auditors, tax auditors, RBI inspectors; provide them the required data and resolving the queries raised by them.All the month end closing activities including monitoring of control accounts, FX sell down, capitalization of assets purchased, reconciling Fixed Assets Register with accounting system.Preparation of Tax Audit and Transfer Pricing reports, preparation and submission of data to various tax department, monthly Goods & Service tax calculation and Goods & Service tax return filing, follow up with tax authorities for orders and refunds.Effectively liaising with the Head office team and responding to various queries raised by them.Prepare and Submission of Financial Statements to RBI on yearly basis.DESIRED SKILLS : Excellent communication and presentation skills.Strong analytical and organizational skills.Proficient with Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).High numeracy and sound technical skills.Problem- solving skills and initiative.Negotiation skills and the ability to influence others.Strong attention to detail and an investigative nature.Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise.Ability to work as part of a team and to build strong working relationships.Capacity to make quick but rational decisions.Potential to lead and motivate others.To deliver under pressure meeting stringent deadlines.In depth Knowledge of Financial Reporting to RBI.Strong understanding of Management Reporting / Budgeting Process.In depth understanding of various Tax Laws.CANDIDATE PROFILE: Candidates should be Chartered Accountants with about 8 to 12 years relevant experience in Banking sector.
