Assistant Vice President Stressed Assets
We have been retained by our client an Asset Reconstruction Company to identify an Assistant Vice President Stressed Assets. The position is based at Mumbai. JOB PURPOSE :Acquisition & Reconstruction of Distressed Assets / Non - Performing Assets from Banks/Financial Institutions.
Technical Competencies
Expertise in handling matters relating to the following acts / guidelines:
Securitization and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002 (SARFAESI Act).
RBI Guidelines on Corporate Debt Reconstruction mechanism.
Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR).
The Sick Industrial Companies (Special Provisions) Act, 1985 (SICA).
RBI guidelines on Loans & advances issued to Banks and FIs.
RBI notifications to Asset Reconstruction Companies.
Knowledge of relevant guidelines of SEBI, FEMA, Capital Market, Structured Products, Stock Exchange, RBI, Companies Act, etc.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Identifying the NPAs to be acquired from banks / financial institutions.
Analysing the financial and business viability of the acquired assets and devising the resolution strategy.
Conducting site visits and preparing the reports with the findings/observations of the visit.
Carrying out Legal and Financial Due Diligence. Co - ordinate with the internal legal team, liaison with Law Firms and Advocates.
Developing Strategies for restructuring, Sale of business (M&A), Sale of assets, Settlement.
Negotiations with Promoters, Managements, Selling Bank. Dealing with Financial organizations, Banks, Lenders, Prospective buyers and Investors.
Negotiate with borrower/guarantor for settlement.
Attending hearing at Debt Recovery Tribunals (DRT), Debt Recovery Appellate Tribunal (DRAT), Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM), District Magistrate (DM) or any other courts.
DESIRED SKILLS :Excellent Relationship management skills with ability to relate to people at all levels of business and management.
Excellent financial & analytical skills.
Experience in Mortgage Lending.
Sound understanding of legal documentation for funding transactions including structured documentation.
Extensive experience in the areas of corporate finance, project finance, Corporate Lending, Legal Aspects of Loan & Investment Products.
A system & process oriented approach.
Good knowledge in MS Office.
Good team player.
Good Interpersonal & Communications skills.
Result oriented and entrepreneurial skills.
CANDIDATE PROFILE :Ideal candidates should have 10 to 14 years relevant experience and should be Chartered Accountants or MBAs.
