JPMAM offers variety of products to institutional and retail clients across Fixed Income, Equity, Real Assets and Asset Allocation through various sales channels, i.e., Institutional and Funds Management (including top pension plans, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations, central banks and direct and third-party distributors). We also have a growing model portfolio business that is a strategic initiative for JPMAM and addresses a significant opportunity across the industry.Team DescriptionGlobal Data Management & Governance (DMAG) is part of Asset Management s Global Sales Enablement organization. DMAG team is responsible for managing and governing data through the ingestion, transformation and presentation across the data life-cycle. We value representation of various perspectives and believe that this allows us to continue to differentiate ourselves within the industry. Our team comprises of Business and Data Analysts across all asset classes, retirement and sustainable investing strategies. Two key areas of growth for Asset Management include SMAs and Model Portfolios.The core objective of the team is to ensure that the global data solution remains strategic and keeps pace with an ever changing client and regulatory environment. DMAG team is focused on driving the data agenda forward, building on and supporting the overall CRM platform (Salesforce) and data capabilities across the Client s lifecycle.The team in India is responsible for supporting a diverse range of business process and reporting needs across our Asset Management organization. The team plays a pivotal role in the data management/governance stream to help generate vital business/strategic insights for decision making. The role requires coordinating and working with the Distribution teams, and their partners (Client Service, Marketing, Product, Finance, MIS/Business Intelligence and Technology).Our goal is to build out our Models Portfolio platform and our overall messaging around this important offering and differentiate J.P. Morgan in this growing industry. We are also focused on further promoting our growing model portfolio business, which includes continuing to market our models on recently acquired financial technology firm 55ip.Job SpecificationWe re looking for a multi-talented, high-energy individual with a business and data modeling mindset who is comfortable and experienced in taking creative risks. The successful candidate must have excellent analytical and problem solving skills. To be successful in this role, you must understand the competitive landscape and be well versed in how the Model Portfolio marketplace has evolved and continues to grow and change. This position is a non-IT position.Functional Responsibilities:

• Acting as a Data Management and Governance contact for Model Portfolio product teams, Sales, Technology and other key stakeholders
• Influencing and working effectively with a wide range of stakeholders across all levels, regions and distribution channels
• Analyzing and translating business needs/requirements into sound business and data models that streamline data movement, reduce data redundancy and improve information management
• Provide deep knowledge of application / data warehouse functionality and requirements and participate in workshops, planning and execution
• Working with technical teams to create conceptual data models, Troubleshooting and optimizing existing data models and flows
• Provide ongoing business support to the users of Asset Management Models Business platforms/ applications
• Promote an innovative, data-driven culture that drives efficiencies and contributes to bottom-line results
• Undertake business process engineering initiatives - Apply critical thinking to troubleshoot issues, proactively identify and develop new ideas / innovations that will add value to the business and team
• Strong knowledge of data architectures, ability to understand data flows and implement effective data management techniques (includes data wrangling, UATs, Bulk Upload, monitoring/reconciling data feeds from various sources and ensuring smooth transition over into the systems)
• Oversee conceptual, logical and physical data models that conform to standards and conventions
• Create and enforce policies with regards to data acquisition, rationalization, maintenance and modifications for internal and external data sources
• Data Stewardship - Support strong data governance and management to ensure compliance with data standards and a single client view is maintained. Develop consistent data definitions, define data golden sources and created standardization

Qualifications

• Relevant business and data modeling experience with a demonstrated track record of success and increased responsibilities. MBA (Finance)/Engineering is a plus.
• Understanding of Asset Management business (Investment Management, Mutual Funds, Managed Accounts, and/or Separate Accounts) preferable
• Strong academic background with established analytical, programming and technical skills (Certifications in CRM, Data Management & Business Intelligence domain is preferable)
• Experience working with an industry recognized CRM platform (Salesforce.com is a plus)
• Experience with databases and data analysis software / Working with large data sets proficiency with SQL/Python/Spark/BO/Alteryx is a plus
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
