The Country Risk Management group is an independent risk management function which works in close partnership with other risk functions to identify and monitor country risk within the Firm. Country Risk Management is part of Corporate Risk Management, reporting to the firm s Chief Risk Officer. Country Risk Management is responsible for the following:Developing policies, standards and procedures consistent with a comprehensive country risk frameworkAssigning sovereign ratings and assessing country risks.Analyzing economic and political risks the firm faces as a result of its activities worldwide and assigning internal sovereign credit ratings to countries to which the firm has exposure.Measuring and monitoring country risk exposure and stress across the firmManaging country limits and reporting trends and limit breaches to senior managementDeveloping surveillance tools for early identification of potential country risk concernsProviding country risk scenario analysis an deep divesJob description:Support the Country Risk Management team in the development, organization and update of Country Risk policies, standards and procedures and in executing Country Risk governance more broadlyEnsure governance initiatives are completed in disciplined and structured way; seek efficiency through innovation where possibleTrack and resolve items that impact governance objectives and timelinesHelp coordinate the collection of materials to support requests from internal audit, senior management or regulatorsAssist in the analysis of legal entity level reporting, including inter-entity transactionsWork together with other risk functions on governance or policies which may apply to specific legal entitiesSupport mapping of legal obligations to applicable internal documentationAssist in other Country Risk Management projects as needed, particularly those relating to resolution of data quality and control issuesQualifications:Minimum Bachelor s degree and work experience in the financial industryOutstanding listening and negotiation skills as well as being a strong written and verbal communicatorPrior experience in a risk or control function preferredEffective organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple work streams and processesAbility to structure and scope complex problemsTeam-oriented nature with clear project ownership mentality; a bility to work with multiple stakeholders including with Reporting, Technology and Middle OfficeExcellent attention to detail and diligent at follow upPro-active attitude, intellectually curious, creative and self-motivated.,
