Job Description

    *The Role Responsibilities This role is responsible for Cash product Management and commercialization. The role is a core part of the product management team that is accountable for ensuring that the products we offer to clients in the Americas are compliant with the Bank s policies and procedures, regulatory framework as well as ensuring that the products and process are in line with market needs and overall strategic product directions. This role is responsible for governance of local cash products (excluding Correspondent Banking product) whilst supporting Cash Product Head engaging with product partners including but not limited to Cash Operations, Legal, Compliance, FCC, Tax, and Global Product Management team. The role will also work with the TB Sales team on the local cash products that support flow or BAU deals.Strategy
    • Work with Cash Product Head in setting up processes involved in Product Development, Management and Commercialization
    • Work with Cash Product Head on developing plan for execution of new Cash product launches
    • Work with Cash Product Head on developing target operating models for new products, training Sales, RMs, OPS and other product partners
    • Tracking Commercialization activities and P&L for Cash business
    Business
    • Product Manager for the corporate segment, supporting Cash Product Head executing cash commercialisation agenda including execution of product initiatives, supporting key deals, developing local products, and driving product revenues
    • Understand the dynamics of cash management business for Americas region with a view to assess market trends, identify new business opportunities or competitive threats across the region.
    • Support Cash Product Head in driving new cash solutions, supported by client/market intelligence/ feedback
    • React to new trends and technology and provide feedback to link those with current offering and impact to clients
    Processes
    • Support Cash Product to deliver budget, through active management of:
      • Revenue (existing and new revenue streams)
      • Penetration of the product: No. of clients using the products in country
      • Drive liabilities / OPAC gathering with view to increase contribution
      • Returns (i.e. product profitability) at a deal or client leve
    People and Talent
    • Provide leadership and direction to Product, Sales and Coverage team in Americas and network markets
    Risk Management
    • Builds deep and comprehensive knowledge of legal aspects linked to an instrument, debt, security in the relevant jurisdictions; local regulations and initiatives of local industry bodies to stay ahead of the regulatory change agenda and/or how it affects the solutions.
    • Takes the initiative regarding regulatory, reputational and ethical matters by providing proactive advice to clients and sales teams
    • Ensures adherence with the highest standards of ethics, and compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations
    • Ensure appropriate TB inputs are incorporated in Deal Review / BCA / Term sheet / Pre-Screening review / Credit
    Governance
    • Accountable for all product related risks for deals and solutions executed for clients
    • Identifies and mitigates operational, credit, regulatory, legal, fraud and risks in a transaction.
    • Evaluates current processes or solutions via a business Conduct lens.
    • Ensures the relevant approvals (including compliance with relevant deal review guidelines) for a transaction or client engagement are sought and can be produced for an audit review at any point in time
    • Understands compliance, AML and FCC risk and applies appropriate risk mitigation processes.
    • Conducts frequent portfolio reviews to ensure the portfolio of transactions have all required approvals and all conditions of approval are met with at all points in time

    • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.     Our Ideal Candidate Specialization
    • Banking / Financial Industry experience with some working knowledge product management.
    • At least 3-5 years of product management experience.
    • Knowledge and understanding of Card Schemes, Alternate Payment Networks, NPMs, NeoBanks, Digital Currencies and Fintech Banking will be preferred
    • Proven ability to independently identify, drive and deliver product initiatives. Become trusted advisor for Sales and Coverage teams when they are looking for consultative/strategic Transaction Banking ideas/market knowledge
    • Strong executive impact and track record of managing end-to-end product life cycle. Analytical mindset, innovative problem-solving approach, and strong achievement orientation.
