You will play an instrumental role in helping us expand access to our products by working on various innovative business models, helping us reduce the barriers and thus ensure smooth access of essential and innovative medicines for the underserved and marginalized populations across the world. Purpose of this role: Lead or support Public Affairs activities/projects to support business objectives in the area of responsibility, engage in stakeholder engagement in the area of responsibility Shape external policy in the area of responsibility. Position Novartis as a trusted partner. Hold key external stakeholder relationships. Deliver political intelligence and advice to relevant Novartis businesses Provide support to PA Leadership.Your responsibilities:Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Identify, prioritize and drive topics which define policy environment for business and helps in the creation, revision and publishing of policy documents, advocacy toolkits, training materials. Shape, represent, and advance Novartis legislative, policy and alliance strategic objectives to execute product advocacy where applicable Map external partners and systematically engage, setting up key platforms for engagement on key policy and business priorities, working in partnership and lead teams on specific projects, through feasibility, planning, execution and reporting; helps to projects in cross -functional / cross-divisional team Identify and analyze legislation that may affect Novartis business, as well as propose language and strategies to amend and improve legislation Role model Novartis principles, leads Health Systems strengthening strategy and HSS implementation in partnership with divisional partners with the aim to drive access to among underserved communities. Demonstrate the work of the cross divisional Health Systems Strengthening working group to develop the OneNovartis HSS approach for launch in 2021. In particular, demonstrate health financing expertise, digital platforms, strategic Global Health partnerships, to build cross cutting solutions and shift Novartis relationship to key governments, payors, and global health partners. Demonstrate extensive experience to craft and lead Global HSS offerings (HSS working group process) in the areas of finance, healthcare delivery, access to medicines, data utilization, and health systems strengthening overall. Collaborate with GHCR, Novartis Franchises and country organizations on the implementation of global health innovations aligned with the GHCR and Company strategy with the following process:o Assess HSS needs across commercial and social streams o Identify and prioritize potential solutions o Define proposal for market needs and match with GH offerings o Align and agree on social and commercial stream RACI o Define country set up for implementation o Acquire approval across partners o Build implementation roadmap o Act as subject matter expert on Innovative Financing models as a means to drive sustain-able business and social impact in global healthMinimum requirements What you ll bring to the role: Advanced Degree in business, economics, public health, engineering, medicine or relevant experience in Global Health innovation, innovative financing, and/or global health entrepreneurship 8+ years working in the Global Health, with a focus on innovation Entrepreneurial experience with an intent to drive intrapreneurship to help Novartis achieve its ambitions in innovation and access Expert knowledge of various Global Health innovation topics such as in innovative financing models, supply chain solutions, ICT-based solutions, etc. Strong internal and external collaboration/networks including with academia to identify and address key Global Health challenges Demonstrated ability to approach complex Global Health challenges with an inquisitive mind-set; not afraid to propose seemingly far-fetched solutions Resilient approach to innovation, willing to accept and learn from failureWhy consider Sandoz Our number 1 priority is to pioneer patient access to better healthcare.
