Job Description

Associate Director Innovative Technologies & Products with Minimum 10 -12 years of experience in developing products on NDDS platform for local & global marketsFerring India is looking for a qualified, experienced, scientifically sound candidate as Associate Director Innovative Technologies & Products at its Global R&D Center at Thane (Mumbai) who will lead a creative team of scientist to carry out drug development based on novel drug delivery systems such as Fast Dissolving Dosage Forms, oral delivery of peptides, Freeze Dried Products, Nano Particle Deliveries, specially designed long acting gels etc.The Ideal PersonThe person we seek should hold a degree of Ph. D. in Pharmaceutical Technology/ Pharmaceutics/ Pharmaceutical SciencesCandidate should have good level of competencies and skills for project management, Leadership & Team Management, Good Communication, Customer focus, Building effective teams, Managing and measuring work, Effective cost & resource planning and high level of integrity and trust.Performance Indicators for this position are timely delivery of the projects & technologies, initiate new feasibility projects for future pipeline, GDP / GMP monitoring through audits, effective cost & resource planning, people engagement and developmentDirect Reports: 05 No. (Total Team of Scientist: 10 No.)Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading Pharmaceutical Development activities (Formulation development, Analytical development and Packaging development)
  • Selection of strategies for product development for early feasibility and approved projects with an overall objective to achieve desired target product profile
  • Periodic updates of ongoing projects and deciding action plans
  • Trouble shooting in CMC related activities and adequate investigations, identification, and rectification of problems
  • Ensure timely manufacturing of IMP batches as per GMP for BA/ BE studies
  • Developing and establishing New platform technology for future products
  • Development of pharmaceutical products based on NDDS technology from concept, Early Stage, Tech transfer, Late Stage & validation till the delivery of the product
  • Review and approve Protocols, Reports, SOPs, Validation plans, etc. of Formulation, Analytical and Packaging Team
  • Ensuring the implementation of departmental SOPs on day to day basis
  • Responsible for availability of right competencies (manpower, equipment, technologies) together with supervisor and team members
  • Responsible for keeping laboratories maintained, follow GLP and work done according to safety and quality guidelines
  • Monitoring Departmental and Project Budget, Forecast; and CAPEX
  • Initiation of new concepts & project ideas; converting ideas to valuable projects
