Job Description

Hiring AVP IT - Digital Operations Product Enhancement for a Life Insurance Company Qualification - Engineering + MBA from tier I college or new IIMS Experience - 10 + years post qualification Max Age - 40 yrs Role Summary:

  • This position is primarily responsible for operationalising software changes and delivery from technology teams.
  • The position will lead a team which will be the liaison and delivery point for software and technology product deliveries for the entire organization.
  • This includes vendor integrations, changes in mobile applications, web applications, scoping new vendors, UI/UX design changes, UAT, customizations and analytics.
  • The position will be a self-starter, Peoples person with exceptional stakeholder management skills with good understanding of both technology and business.
  • Ideally from insurance or related industries with good exposure to best practices.
  • The ability to grasp big picture, manage multiple projects and deliveries with capability to present new solutions and ideas is a must.
Key Result Areas -
  • Establish a vision for the Digital ops role, create strategy, establish processes and benchmarks
  • Manage and deliver business requirements within agreed timelines
  • Keep an eye on the future and bring in best talent, best practices and evangelize latest technologies inside the org
  • Lead team to generate product requirement, testing frameworks, consultative solutioning with technology and business stakeholders, enforce quality development standards, deploy new features and products in the market
  • Exceptional stakeholder management from business to technology teams
  • Implement best digi ops practices, delivery processes, hold regular SCRUMs, analysis and solutions.
  • Drive support team to deliver root cause fix & automation to reduce repetitive issues
  • Provide assistance to the team, mentor team members
  • Upgrade oneself and the team to the latest technologies and practices
  • Assess and on-board vendors, project costing, negotiations
