Our organization is built to support our clients functional, regional and business-facing requirements while delivering innovative technology and ensuring plant and processing stability.About the functionThe Tax Technology function within OpsTech, provides solutions in support of Operation s processing of Transaction Tax, Withholding Tax, Tax document expirations/renewals, Deposits and Filings, and Client & CRS Tax Reporting for both US and non-US jurisdictions., *Role Profile:We are looking for a Business Analyst Scrum Master who wants to work on the build-out of a ground-up function to provide our clients with elegant *solutions*. We are a development team primarily based in Mumbai. Our users are located in London and Glasgow. The role involves collaborating with global team members to engaging with users in LN & GL, analyze current business challenges, mapping processes and helping design solutions. This is a user-facing role based in Mumbai.Key aspects of the role s work profile:

1. The analyst is expected to learn-on-the-job the business and functional domain related to Transaction Tax.
2. Directly interface with users in London and Glasgow to understand business problems (not just requirements), processes and support them with their queries during India hours.
3. Work with global development team, and Lead as part of an Agile team.
4. As a scrum master, be the master of ceremonies running all Agile ceremonies based on time-zone sensitivities and constraints. Help solve impediments to team.
5. Help analyze current processes, inefficiencies and pain points by interfacing with users based in GL. Iteratively refine the solution through user workshops, story refinement and mapping sessions.
6. Manage SDLC processes using tools such as JIRA, Rally, Agile Dashboards, etc.
7. Support data analysis, process analysis, functional breakdown, organization of requirements into Epics, User Stories, User-Story Maps.
8. Participate in definition of Roadmap, plans, release planning, coordination with various stakeholders.
9. Support the application with production queries, troubleshooting, analysis of application during LN/GL business hours.
10. Support QA and UAT processes with analysis of issues/bugs, prioritization for implementation, tracking issues to closure using Obstacle boards, etc.
11. Mentor the squad and drive performance using Agile values, practices, and metrices.

Role Requirements (in the order of priority):

1. The candidate has to be an excellent communicator explain, articulate and present solutions to global users.
2. Be a self-starter with strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
3. Have a basic understanding of database models, SQL, writing queries to extract and present data to business users. Find correlations, variations and anomalies in data.
4. Be an active contributor to requirements grooming, refinement and reviews. Work closely with the PO to facilitate these ceremonies with defined outcomes.
5. Be responsible for supporting and contributing to different phases of the product lifecycle including solution analysis, design, development, and production support.
6. Be a team player and have the ability to work collaboratively with teams across geographical areas.
7. Strong sense of ownership and responsibility to support users during NY business hours production support, troubleshooting, debugging, analysis, etc.

Who is NOT suitable for this role

1. Anyone who has never directly worked with end-users (as against working with Business Analysts or designers).
2. Anyone who has merely been a developer and never done any business analysis or support.
3. Anyone who is not confident, assertive, articulate and cannot effectively communicate abstract ideas.

Required Technical Skills:

1. Hands-on SQL and Database understanding (E-R modeling)
2. Experience of using JIRA for Agile processes.
3. Experience using portfolio management tools such a Rally or JIRA Portfolio will be an advantage.
4. Knowledge of Equity, Listed Derivatives (Options, Futures, ETFs), OTC Derivatives (Swaps, etc.) is an advantage.
