Job Description

    1.0Job Purpose :-Support Sales Director Coating Resins to develop and map out the sales & marketing plan / strategies for Coating Resins businesses in India and exports outside India and plan selling operations to achieve targeted sales turnover and profits.-Working closely with technical team to ensure solid performance in new product development, existing product improvement as well as strong technical support to customers.2.0Key Accountabilities :-Lead & Manage Price, Volume & Margins for the business line in Coating Resins business unit-Understanding the techno-economics of product vs competitor product to decide on product positioning in market Value selling approach is must-Development of Price offer and quotation to customers and follow pricing / Margin policy-Analyse and propose payment / credit terms for various customers and condition of sales , manage overall collection for the product line-Manage business with key accounts and maintain multilevel relationships to ensure sustained business with them-Identify growth opportunities with existing & new customers through existing & new products , explore new growth areas / applications-Create and maintain a pipeline of unqualified, qualified and targeted prospects within the area of responsibility-Lead formation of customer specific business strategies , Develop annual sales plans , recommend long term & short term strategies to achieve sales targets-Handle customer queries & complaints related to products through close interaction with technical support team-Provide inputs to R & D team for development of new products & modification of existing products for continuous business growth and increased profitability-Gather market intelligence with respect to competitor activities, market trends & pricing scenario-Take reasonable care for health and safety of himself and of other persons, to wear or use personal protective equipment provided as appropriate and to comply health and safety instruction and undertake the following loss control responsibilities :oShall report to immediate supervisor/HSE Manager unsafe acts and unsafe conditions at workplaceoShall report to immediate supervisor /HSE Manager all accidents and injuries occurred at workplaceoShall comply with the HSEQ policy & HSE rules and regulationsoShall communicate potential losses and loss control opportunities to supervisor /HSE Manager3.0Key Challenges :-Continuously grow the business in terms of volume and grow / maintain profitability in a commodity market, which is highly price sensitive with competition from local resin manufacturing companies as well multinational companies.4.0Qualification & Experience :-B.E / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or Technology ( Paints or Polymer) or MSc Chemistry with more than 12 years of experience in handling Sales & business development in Chemical products in B2B environment-Experience in handling sales of Resins or other products to coating or other industry is preferred-Knowledge of SAP & CRM is preferred-Ideal candidate should be strong commercial professional who can understand & outline the value proposition to customers in B2B environment-Exposure to working with global in environment with crossfunctional teams would be preferred.-Good team player with good presentation & communication skills-Result oriented , Self-starter & Self motivated
