Position Objective:To assist and support PETA India s campaign work as assigned by supervisorDirector of Celebrity and Public RelationsPrimary Responsibilities and DutiesAssist Campaign Coordinators with coordination of demonstrations, tabling events, talks and other campaign projectsPrepare letters and other documents for campaign projects, as requestedManage campaign inventory and keep leaflets and other literature up to dateWork with relevant departments at PETA Foundation (US) and outside businesses to prepare placards and other materials for Campaign CoordinatorsManage campaign projects independently, as requestedEncourage and facilitate activism across India by communicating with activists and encouraging them to be active in behalf of animalsReply to e-mails and queries that come into PETA India s general information e-mail accountRegularly update and maintain campaign-related databases and filesAttend and participate in brainstorming meetingsHelp make follow-up calls to the media and support PETA India s work to keep campaigns in the media spotlightPrepare responses to media queries and act as a media spokesperson when requestedTravel for campaign projects, as neededPerform any other duties assigned by the supervisorQualifications:Fluent in HindiKnowledge of other local Indian languages a plusComputer proficiencyProven thorough knowledge of animal rights issuesPassion for fighting cruelty to animals and desire and willingness to participate in provocative campaignsOutgoing and personable manner with exceptional communication skillsExceptional organisational and time-management skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsMust be a self-starter who can handle multiple tasks at the same timeAbility to deal patiently with activists and other contactsSupportive positionvis- -vis PETA India s philosophy and the ability to professionally advocate PETA India s positions on issuesMust adhere to a vegan lifestyleAbility and willingness to travel, as neededCommitment to the objectives of the organisationHow to Apply:To apply for a position with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India, please send your cover letter and CV to [email protected] or complete this form .,
