It has a premier institutional securities platform in India, providing a full range of investment banking, capital markets, equities, fixed income, commodities and derivative products, as well as research services. In addition to the front office, there are several other business units like Technology, Fund Services, Finance and Operations, based out of India. Morgan Stanley India Technology teams are based in Mumbai and Bengaluru. The technology staff has a vibrant and diverse mix of technologists working on different technologies and functional domains. There is a large focus on innovation, inclusion, giving back to the community and sharing knowledge.Job Responsibilities Provide Leadership and Deliver on Key Initiatives in the areas of Risk/Governance and Future of Work: RISK AND GOVERNANCE - Business continuity planning o Update plans based on refresh cycle as well as organizational changes o Ensure annual testing as per BCM requirements with adequate evidence o Maintain ongoing plan hygiene and address gaps in strategy or information - Crisis readiness o Create, maintain and socialize crisis readiness checklists at all levels on a frequent basis o Ensure RNS dispatchers are aware of their role and are trained to send out crisis communication to all staff, when needed - Covid-19/Return To Workplace Program (RTWP) o Oversee and execute on policy and process that enable ease of working for all staff, whether from home or office o Be diligent in handling exceptional situations or requests o Subject to evolving situation and management guidance, work with senior stakeholders within and outside Technology division to ensure smooth scaling up of number of staff returning to office- Internal audit o Maintain engagement with internal audit team to be in sync with annual audit schedule o Gather evidence to be submitted in support of audit requirements, and submit after vetted by divisional leads o Track and close post-audit actions by working with various stakeholders- Governance o Work with divisions to formalize process and policies about changing work arrangements and communicating to impacted stakeholders o Ensure any submissions to external regulators or internal control group stakeholders or Tech management are duly fulfilled- Tax compliance o Fulfilling annual and quarterly submission requirements along with necessary evidence o Ensure awareness of tax rules applicable to Tech staff from an STPI/GIC/ODC perspective and have remediation and reporting process in place- Other compliance and governance o Help articulate expected compliance actions for new and upcoming governance requirements o Identify key SPOC s at super department level and create awareness that helps in timely and adequate compliance actionsFUTURE OF WORK (FOW) - Sync Up with Existing Practices o Work with India Tech Space Management lead to understand current practices in seat projection and provisioning o Identify areas of opportunity and improvement that can enhance employee experience o Call out key gaps that require further investment to upgrade tools and functionality- Solicit ideas and best practices o Work with stakeholders within Tech divisions to explore and articulate FOW roadmap, by incorporating suggestions and pain points o Work with Corporate Services and Human Resources experts to formulate policy on FOW o Initiate scope and discovery exercise to map out FOW landscape in Tech industry in India as well as with other relevant peer groups- Formulate operating model o Work with Tech and GIC management to bring together a robust operating model o Build scale and sustainability to allow for future growth o Collaborate with BU partners to socialize norms and protocols such that role of stakeholders at different levels is clear, *Must Have attributes for this role Ideal candidate must have an experience of 10+ years in a large multinational organization having worked in CAO/COO teams, and having demonstrated following attributes in prior work experience: - Ability to lead teams and business functions - Ability to represent divisional stance to senior management and global stakeholders - Ability to build strong networks and partners across the organization - Influence and advocate new ideas and their adoption at all levels of the organization - Integrity, collaboration and proactiveness - Advanced skills Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint - Ability to analyze large and disparate data sets and synthesize in a lucid manner - Professional outlook to work and solution focused - Ownership and growth mindset - Developing strong teams and creating sound backupNice to Have attributes for this role - Project management skills - Financial planning and analysis
