Job Description

    A reputed Shipping company has a vacancy for a Captain for the post of DPA,The JD as follows-
    • DPA of vessels
    • Handling / supervising of marine projects / operations - pre-docking inspections / drydocking of dredgers, other vessels in the fleet.
    • Pre-Purchase inspection, insurance inspection and accident investigation
    • Co-ordination with purchase of ship spares / parts
    • Handling of special survey and class entry
    • Conduct quality and safety audits on company ships (dredgers / pilot launches)
    • Act as internal auditor for our vessels in compliance with high standards of safety, quality, and environment protection.
    • Liaising with Flag State Authorities and Classification Societies for any matter related to the dredger / vessel / ships belonging to the Company.
    • Monthly / Quarterly / Half Yearly / Yearly visits to the vessels for audit / documentation, etc.
    • Liaising with all Ship Captains / Tech. Superintendents regarding documentation / pre-joining formalities, etc.
    • Experience: The candidate should have experience of at least 5 to 7 years working ashore in a similar capacity.
