**Position: **Casting Team Lead - Procurement**Reporting to: **Head Procurement**Location:** Navi Mumbai**Position Summary:**The Casting team lead is an active team member in procurement and responsiblefor timely delivery of material from suppliers, develop suppliers / componentsand work very closely with Category team for creating reliable supplier basewithin and outside India. This highly strategic position is responsible tomonitor the flows of buy items, guarantee availability of components in orderto avoid material shortages and production downtime, as well as to manageinventory levels to meet our customer service and inventory targets.**Position Responsibilities:** * Lead team of casting buyers and achieve desired result by achieving on time delivery & quality * End to end responsibility of developing pattern to get casting fully developed as per customer need * Select best possible design and foundry in line with global strategy to achieve desired result * Working with engineering, vendor development team and other cross functional teams to select, develop and on-boarding of new foundries * Ensure optimal inventory levels and safety stock are maintained for their parts * Coordinate with Quality Assurance to resolve quality issues with suppliers. * Maintain proactive shortage identification and management - help flag root causes & corrective actions. * Identify total cost and cash flow opportunities with suppliers. * Expedite deliveries to meet and exceed scheduled critical requirements. * Coordinate with production planners for solutions when parts cannot be delivered as promised. * Maintain and continuously evaluate supplier performance and escalate to Procurement when issues occur. * Act as supplier owner to selected suppliers in region. * Resolve invoicing discrepancies with suppliers and accounting. * Analyze material and capacity availability to provide customer promise dates for sales orders. * Maintains item master lead time information based upon process improvements, current constraints, total current demand by product family, and priority information. * Productivity: identify and implement cost reduction/productivity projects to meet the corporate initiatives/goals. Maintain pipeline and financial records for reporting and tracking productivity.**Key Competencies and Success Factors:**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below arerepresentative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. * Procurement Professional with BE / Production Engg * Experience in Procurement / Supply Chain with at least 10+ years of Buying experience * Should have Team Lead experience of at least 5 years * Sound / In-depth buying knowledge / experience in Castings, types of Castings, Manufacturing Processes, Machining / API guideline etc - a Must * Experience in developing Castings from new Patterns through first article would be an added advantage * Sound knowledge of the entire Casting Manufacturing Cycle required * Sound knowledge of the Pattern Manufacturing Process for Castings required * Must be proficient with the various Grades / MOCs of Castings * Rapport with the Lead foundries in India would be an added advantage * Experience in Imports and working with MNC are desired * Must have experience in dealing with International colleagues and peers * Sound SAP / ERP knowledge is a Must skillsprocurement, Inventory Management, casting purchase, casting buyers,
